...My honest opinion...?
...it is very sad.
Sad that all those people who are "praised by men" do not know God and are not known by God.
Sad that what the world considers "good" has nothing to do with glorifying their Creator, which is the chief and most fundamental purpose for man.
Sad that people look to other people...or look up to other people, as if these people are anything special.
Sad that all the money, power, wealth, and intelligence in the world does not solve the basic cry of the human heart, which for all people is a yearning for unfailing love, fulfilling joy, and everlasting peace...and can only be found in God, through Jesus Christ.
Sad that all the achievements of respected people of the world, all of their wealth, all of their power, and all of their intelligence amounts to nothing more than a hill of beans for them after death. These things are but filthy rags...
It is a sad to see what the world elevates.
It is sad to see how lost people are who would think that this video demonstrated or proved anything worthy to be spoken about...
It is sad to see such a small view of the world, knowing that hundreds of examples could be made of many so-called, self-professing Christians AND atheists who did many "good" things...and hundreds of more examples of them doing "evil" things...knowing that this proves and/or disproves nothing.
It is sad to see the state of American Christianity, where it has become "popular" to be a Christian...and where many people "grow up" or are "born" a Christian...or so they say...simply because their parents called themselves Christians...
And...it is sad to look back at myself, over 10 years ago, in college...as an atheist...and to think of my wasted life up until that point.
And it is sad for me to reflect upon the verse that says, "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?"...knowing that every person pictured in that video has "gained" in some way, at least part of the world...yet are still fools that have lost their souls, lest they that are still alive repent and believe...
But thanks for the reminder.
How wonderful, amazing, and ecstatic is the grace of my Lord!
