JESUS H. CHRIST!!!! is the subject of this article. The author David Van Biema... suggests not only that it is ok to teach the bible in public school but that it is constitutional and that the Bible is the bedrock of western society!!! Anyways, I am tolerant of Christians (meaning I don't run around and tell them what apprehensive unprovable nonsensical and dismal beliefs they have) I am tired of hearing people tell me that Christianity built western society. It helped take land from other Western societies but didn't do anything to build it. If you think capitalism is built on christianity you are wrong. I think it might be a better world if it were...anyways I am not writing this for answers, I am just writing to get out the anger that every parent whose kid has come home and told them that their teacher told him about jesus today. So, the standard response when people ask for proof of the Christian God is that He doesn't manifest Himself explicitly in the Universe. Fair enough.

Satan, on the other hand, supposedly does a whole lot of interfering in the Universe. So his existence should be comparitively easy to prove. Is there any proof of Satan which cannot be attributed to natural processes? Anecdotal evidence is fine, if you can back it up.

Mine is when the Asian tsunami happened, the only buildings that were left standing were mosques and churches. I saw a local imam telling the BBC that the reason why everything else was washed away is because the people were sinners! Never mind the fact that the religious buildings were made with concrete with proper foundations and the poor people's houses were made of bamboos and twigs. That has got to be the dumbest thing I'd ever heard from a religious person.

.... "Love the sinner, hate the sin" ... in reference to homosexuality? That seems very insulting.

It's like saying, "Hate everything that makes this person a lovely human being. Hate his lifestyle. Hate his choices. Hate his inspiration for living. Oh, but love the skin that holds him together."

Why deem something so beautiful as a sin? Just say "Love the person" and move on with your life.

I ask this because in a way I feel like it is playing God. I mean, if it was something that God approved of, why would a person have to match a specific type of organ to fit them, and even then they have to be on drugs to make sure their body doesn't reject the organ. I guess you could argue that if organ transplant is wrong, then all of medicine would have to be and I don't believe that. I think perhaps though that there is a line and along with cloning, maybe organ transplants cross it. What's your opinion?
