To paraphrase Thomas Paine, "My own mind is my own church." Why couldn't I make myself into a god? I define myself: God doesn't define my image, I do through my thoughts and actions. I control my destiny and can shape my life through personal choice.
If God works as a line of standardization (in the Descartes' sense), what if we throw away the notion of God? Nothing would have innate value. Then I would assign value to everything that I see, in a sense, making myself into a God since everything would be related to my sense of worth since I defined it for myself.
If everything had to be created, then who created God? If god was not created and was always there, then why do human beings have to be created? Couldn't we have always been here as well? Human beings have created the notions of time frames and assign it as history. As far as we know, history starts and ends with us. We decide its present and future through our thoughts and actions. We are all gods in control of this world and instead of feeling empowered, the religious continually dismiss the value of this life and look to a "better" life in the clouds. This life is all we have...make your destiny and be your own GOD.

Sorry but I did not even bother to read the article because the very notion of a mere mortal becoming God-like is ludicrous. The created cannot become as the Creator. The fact that their very existence depends upon God makes them inherently less than god/God-like. Besides, there IS no other god but God. There might be many false gods, but God is the only LIVING God.

I don't think it will ever happen. The "grown universe has its own time and is impossible to access. How do we know that we are not living inside one of these universes? There would be no way to tell. Anyway, I am not comfortable with scientists playing with anti-matter, unchecked by the populace. Look what happened to Einstiens Theory.

God is the creator, human is part from creation..... so, creation can't be a creator.
As there is one president (king) for each country, there is one God for this universal.
As far as you respect your boss responsibly, as far you become peace of mind in your work. Just you need to respect the idea of "there is only ONE God for this world" and no human can share him in his responsibly

Well, if you think about what a God is, an omniscient being possessing infinite knowledge, wisdom, and love, it seems that it would turn out to be an impossible task. I, for one, know that I would never be able to acquire these character traits.

Nope.
There are articles and jazz on the internet that claim many things. That does not make them true or any more correct.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Letter Day Saints teaches that if we progress through life and the eternities, and are worthy and righteous, man may progress to the point of being a king over a spiritual kingdom, much akin to a God.
