Well, I'll tell ya this, I really do wish that they came with more than one of those ribbon bookmarks. At my church they do one part of the Bible on Sunday meetings and then at say Wednesday meetings, some other part. So if there was a red Wedneday ribbon, then a blue Sunday one, for example, and then maybe a green one for at home, that would be great.
My pastor always goes "Now keep your finger in Isaiah and turn to First Peter." When he's really gotten going I've worried that I'd have to take off my socks and start using my toes! So, I think maybe some delux editions with 10+ ribbons would be great.
And of course, with thumping----It would be an invaluable resource for thumpers like myself. Have the pages marked in rainbow order or "wordless book order" if you prefer, and then just thump, and flip, thump and flip. What a timesaver!
You mentioned the finger falling out, that could be a pain, but preachers and other misc. bible thumpers being the earthen vessels that they are, I think an even greater risk is thumping hard with one hand with the finger still in place! Owwww! And how embarrassing then if one were to, "react in the flesh" if you will, such as one might do when hitting the thumb with a hammer, and failing utterly to control one's tongue.
Ahhh, How blessed we are who experience God's forgiveness, His grace, and His unimaginable strength, even when we are unimaginably weak.

True Christians are wise as serpents and gentle as doves. This sort of behaviour is mentally ill. The jewish elite which crucified Jesus are the same as the fundamental Christians who don't own up to their own shadows. Any beautiful painting has depth as well as light. It is called Chiaroscuro.

I've never seen a preacher thump. That's a story we tell to see if people have really gone to church or not.

You are too funny Bob. But thanks for the opening to remind other Christians...you are to worship God, not the Bible.
