I was reading a book in history a few years back called the Kingdom of Matthias. It was about a Christian cult (they were common in the US back in the day).

In the book different people spelled Deerfield several different ways in letters.

Some spelled Deerfield

others Dearfield

others Derefield

When did Americans standardize their language?

Did it have anything to do with freedom of religion?

Muslims claim that before Muhammad, Allah was the biblical God of the Old Testament Israelites and the New Testament apostles. If this is true, then Christians must accept Muhammad as a later prophet and the Koran as a later revelation after the Bible. This makes Muslims and Christians brothers and sisters under the same God and there is no need to attempt to proselytize each other. Indeed, all Christians should immediately become Muslims to fit into God's ongoing plan.

This is obviously absurd to both Christians and Muslims who have any detailed knowledge of the many contradictions between the Koran and the Bible and between the characters of Jehovah and Allah. Examination of the history of Allah presents other major differences.

When mankind rebelled against worship of the Creator, they turned to worship of some aspect of His creation. Since the sun and moon were very prominent parts of creation, they became almost universal objects of idolatry.

In the last hundred years, archeologists and historians have traced the origins of the worship of Allah. The trail did not lead back to Jehovah. Instead, it led to al-ilah, the moon god worshiped by the Arabs long before Muhammad. This had been shortened to allah before the time of Muhammad. In fact, the names of Muhammad's father and uncle both contain the word "Allah." The evidence clearly points to Muhammad simply isolating this one idol and declaring him to be the only god.

Stone images have been unearthed with the crescent moon carved on them. Thousands of ancient inscriptions demonstrate that worship of the moon god was the dominant religion of all of Arabia. When Israel turned to idol worship, it was often to the moon god.

The symbol common to the moon god cult was the crescent moon. This is the also the dominant symbol of Islam. It appears on the spires of their mosques, on their literature and even the flags of the countries that rule by the Sharia, the Koran-based government system.

Tracing the origin of Allah does not lead back to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as Islam claims. Instead, as their present use of the moon symbol depicts, it leads to an ancient, pagan Arabian moon idol.

If you're a Christian then you know Christ step over the another which we called Death. So God is in the world of Death which we also called the spiritual world. So basically Death is just another world, isn't it?

People of each religion believe that their religion is the right one. Correct?

They fight for their beliefs.
They stand up for their God(s) or lack thereof.

Personal beliefs aside, who is to say which religion is the right one?

These are the arguments set forth by Karaite Jews, which I happen to agree with.

The Oral Law is not mentioned even once in the entire Tanach (Hebrew Bible).

When God told Moses to come up to Mount Sinai to receive the tablets He said: "Come up to me into the mountain, and be there: and I will give thee tablets of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written;" (Ex 24,12). No mention is made of an Oral Law.

The Tanach reports that the written Torah was both lost and completely forgotten for over 50 years and only rediscovered by the Temple priests (2Ki 22,8; 2Chr 34,15). It is inconceivable that an Oral Law could have been remembered when even the written Law was forgotten.

The Rabbis claim that the "Oral Law" is the official interpretation of the Torah given on Mount Sinai. Yet if one actually looks at the Mishnah and Talmud they are full of the opinions of Rabbis who disagree with each other on almost every issue.

Can't they see that every person has the right not to be harassed, mocked and taunted? They constantly criticize "Bible thumpers" for supposedly mocking their atheistic beliefs, but then turn around and have no problem mocking Christians and their beliefs.

Hypocritical much, guys?

In a recently published article Steven Pinker, a well known atheist, gives statistical eveidence that there is less war, violence and genocide than any other period in history.

He attributes this to the gradual spread of Enlightenment ideas and values (1750s ->) and the gradual decline of religious faith

Maybe atheism is the way forward for humankind? Agree or disagree.

(Quran sura 4:24, 33:50, 33:52)

(sura 33:50)
O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and ****those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war**** whom Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makka) with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her;- this only for thee, and not for the Believers (at large); We know what We have appointed for them as to their wives and the captives whom their right hands possess;- in order that there should be no difficulty for thee. And Allah is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful.

John 11

17On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. 18Bethany was less than two miles[a] from Jerusalem, 19and many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother. 20When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.

21"Lord," Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask."

23Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again."

24Martha answered, "I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."

25Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
