The smearing of the blood on the door post was only done that one time when the Jews were slaves in Egypt.
It was never made part of the ceremony of passover.

The putting of blood on the doorpost was an one off thing (as others have stated)- it was for the purpose of differentiating the Jews from the non-Jews. The lamb was an Egyptian god, and by publicly killing it, and smearing its blood very visible on the doorposts, it was an open declaration of renouncing the idolatary of their neighbors and of their faith in God.

No, we only every did that once as G-d commanded us to. We don't do things like that. Blood isn't kosher. It was replaced by celebrating Pesach each year

That was only done once, as God commanded.
They do however, celebrate the passover each and every year, to remind them of Gods power to save and destroy at will.

That ended with Lamb sacrifices and the Lamb sacrifices ended when JESUS was crucified and the veil to the Most Holy of Holies in the earthly sanctuary was rent in two.
