If you're a Christian then you know Christ step over the another which we called Death. So God is in the world of Death which we also called the spiritual world. So basically Death is just another world, isn't it?

To I'm a Catholic: Good concept of time. I'm been thinking alot of that myself. Here's my though, it wouldn't be matter of hours. It would be instantaneous since time don't exist for the ones who are dead. So the love ones will join us instantaneously.

Humans fear the unknown. Not necessarily death. However death can never be accepted by humans for it is in their DNA. Adam and Eve were in fact immortal, and we, their offspring cannot fathom not existing somewhere, even if it is hell! Not one civilization in the whole history of the world, has humankind come to terms with death and what it means. We can't. Even an Atheist on his deathbed will grasp onto the idea of a heaven or hell. Now is this Fear or DNA? Hmmmm

Death is a process, not a world. Physical death releases your spirit from your body. I'm not sure if you directly go to Judgment or go into some sort of dormant state until Judgment Day arrives. Either way...

Death is the last enemy to be destroyed (1 Corinthians 15:26), it is not an intended part of creation, it is a curse on creation. It is punishment for our sin in Adam & Eve. Many fear death because they do not understand that God Himself has triumphed over death in Christ.

I recognize your avatar from a movie box cover: Is it 'heaven help us', 'heaven can wait', something like that? It's an 80's movie.

EDIT: Jeez, I saw that movie such a long time ago, I barely remember what it's about...
But it's amazing how I remember so many box covers from all the movie rental places--since gone out of business--
it's all stored in my collective memory which I never need to use, until now that is!!!

Most people fear the unknown. Those who do not know what to expect upon death fear it.

Death is only to the physical body. The soul never ceases to exist.

I don't fear death. God did not give us the spirit of fear. Fear is a tool of the enemy (Satan.)

When we die, we will spend eternity in one of two places. One is Heaven with our creator. The other is the Lake of fire, where there is eternal torment, weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I've decided Heaven is the better choice. Hope to see you there!

People fear it because it is unknown what happens after death (despite what others want you to think.) Also, the act of dying can be painful and it is human instinct to survive.

because we are content with are life. Even though there is heaven, most are scared to die because they do not know what is on the other side.

plus what we dont realize is that once we die there is no time. so when we die it might be 20 yrs. but will feel like a matter of hours when one of our loved ones comes to join us.
