i mean, there are a lot of christian groups that oppose and criticize each other (catholics, protestants, gnostics, witnesses, mormons...). Is their faith not able to keep them united? Or is it maybe that christians want salvation just to themselves and that is why they make groups to distinguish themselves from others and thus sharing their heaven with less people?
(that as well may explain many people coming here and saying: "i would love to see you rotting in hell while i am in heaven" (i have read things like that dozens of time from merciful christians)

After you have been an Atheist, and you have read everything that can disprove a God, could you really ever go back to any form of spirituality and fully accept it?


Because i find it very hard.
I can't stop myself from saying "This makes absolutely No sense" or "What kind of Logic were these people using when they made this Crap up"

LMAO, that mindset makes it hard for me to accept any kind of religion.
I guess when you get out of the brainwashed state you cant really ever go back :)

One time, when I was about 17, the pastor of the church I was going to was preaching a sermon that was to be aired on one of the local radio stations later on that day. At one point in the sermon, he was talking about how Satan tries to attack everyone with his "firey darts" (in other words, presents them with temptations to sin). Well, while he was saying this, instead of saying "Satan's firey darts," he said "Satan's firey farts."

His wife and daughter were in the congregation at the time, and thought it was funny. I honestly didn't catch that part. My mind must have been wandering off when he said that. It has a tendency to do that.

By the way, the person recording the sermon edited out the "firey farts" part before putting it on air.

What was your god doing before the first monotheistic religions got started? Why didnt he show himself to humanity sometime in the first few thousand years (at least) that humans were around?

with all the attention we have been getting lately, and so much of it is all do to silly stuff like the divinci code and the new discovery channel show on the tomb they say was that of Jesus.
Seems to me that they are opening the door to share the gospel like never before. Your thoughts? And how should be handle this wonderful opportunity??????

The claim is that Jesus was married to Mary Magdellin and that they had a son, Judah. They also state that there is no evidence of ressurection and even that the shroud was fabricated 1000 years after Christ's death!

Why does it seem that so many christians have no idea about how they should live. the traditions of man are drowning them and they dont even know it. and for those who have stated that i do not know what i am talking about. trust me i do. i have studied what i talk about. but it is obviose that you have not.
Now why is it so hard for most christians to see they do not know everything? why are they afraid to do more to obey God?

He fills us with truth, through His Holy Spirit, and leads us into truth as we study His wonderful word. There is absolutely NO greater love, than the Love of Jesus Christ! He took our place...our punishment, and we should be praising and glorifying Him! He deserves all the praise and Glory!

but when people use quotes like: GOD IS AWESOME GOD IS GREAT I WILL FOREVER WALK WITH HIM, HE IS MY LIGHT HE IS THE AIR THAT I BREATHE.
and talk about how its god first even above their spouse/kids. or when they thank you but they thank god first (you know what i'm getting at) i just think there is something wrong with that.

i'm not trying to be disrespectful, but don't you think god might want you to love your family the most, and hold him at a close second?

i just don't think this is rational thinking, do you?
