I was just wondering this because there is a lot unsettled debates about it. I personally don't think it is wrong, but I want to know what you think.

people who are sick often pray to God and asks others to pray for them, thats so rediculous, why do you have to pray for help, woudln't a LOVING God help you relieving pain without asking? why require more people praying, does God only help out the sick people with the most praying?

I have an atheist friend that always brings up religion and tries to convert me. I never bring up religion and could care less if he goes to hell. He always sends me links to sites that "prove" evolution is occuring right now. One link showed a "lobster" family. Several members of a family had "lobster" hands and he was convinced that they are highly evolved humans and in the future many humans will have lobster hands because this family is in a freak show and very rich, therefore through natural selection they will be bread with many greedy women and produce many lobster-man offspring. He is also big on people born with 6 fingers and says in the future humans will have an extra finger, however when i mention babies born blind, with 4 fingers and children born with no legs or arms, and i ask him if this is evolution and future humans will have no arms/legs and swim in the ocean he just starts talking about spaghetti. How can atheists pick and choose which traits are evolution?

Ive been noticing this lately so I just want to make this clear. In Arabic (the main language of Islam) "Allah" actually means god. Muslims believe in the same god as Christians and Jews believe in, except he is called "allah" instead of the english word "god"....cause obviously Muslims speak arabic and not english, so why use an english word to describe what they believe in? Thats all I wanted to make clear to all the people that believe Allah is something totally different...so um, thanks :)

i am not trying to question any religion or cause a person to doubt his/her belief. i have always had the curiosity, for example, the bible, how do they explain the existence of for example, dinosaurs. did they ever exist? are they just a hoax? i think there is a lot of evidence out there to support the existence of dinosaurs and cavemen and mammoths and sabertooths and all of these creatures that are now extinct. does any religious text talk about these creatures? for example, in the bible from what i know it never talks about these prehistoric animals or anything like that... i dont think the book of genesis talks about the existence of dinosaurs and what came along... can anyone correct me if im wrong or can someone explain how it is?

Sure many Atheists have that Geek Sheek thing going, but a lot of Christians do the Catholic school girl or Desperate Hosewife thing to the hilt.
Yeah, I'm not in a particularly intellectual mood right now.

Why is it that when it comes to forensics in a murder case, the forensic evidence is IRON CLAD and that monster must be brought to justice; YET, when it comes to forensics in reference to the lost tomb of Jesus… the same right wing Christians say “Oh, that can’t be… my interpretation of the bible is 100% correct.” Finding the remains of Jesus doesn’t mean that he isn’t the son of God. Jesus being married and having children doesn’t mean that he isn’t our saviour.

I hear all of these Christians giving me a day by day account of when and where Jesus and his disciples were and how it is physically impossible for anything forensically proven to be true. All I know is nobody alive today was there to vouch for anything or to say if certain people were or were not buried in certain locations. Yet forensics transcends time. Do you have access to a time machine and have been back there to prove you are right.

Is it just jail? Seems pretty light considering what I will put my victims through..

So if I believe in an after life and I'm so weally weally weally weally sorry for my sins and repent to Jesus and kiss his holy feet and all,
expect me in heaven! I'm so glad I won't have to pay for my sins at all, there won't be any retribution and I'll never have to suffer the way my victims did,
now THAT's Justice, and won't it be extra grand if I get away with it!
Since God doesn't even care about my actions and what my victims went through,
he's surely my friend.
See ya in heaven!

I see many Christians being against something, because their God doesn't allow them to do things. And that's fine by me, really.

Go on the streets with signs that God hates this and God hates that, etc, etc. It's all fine.

But what is the point? You want people punished during this lifetime? And how should that be done?

If you believe that your God will judge everybody in the end anyway, why not just live and let live?
