In the Christian faith it is impossible to calculate exactly how many saints there are because it is impossible to know exactly how many people have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Help. I need help with religious questions.
I would like to know how many saints there are? Are there 12 sorry guys? Even if I am wrong I want to thank you for your time in answering me.

This is a lot easier to read an understand then the way you wrote it, won't you agree?

Everyone who is in the presence of God in Heaven is a saint. The number is unknown to us here on Earth in these flesh bodies. When you get to Heaven I doubt that it will matter to you then.

Just remember, if you are doing the Will of the Father then you will be a saint in Heaven one day.><>

it all depends what religion you are. my church must have atleast 100 saints as do many others. but the real question is not "who do we consider to be saints" but rather: "who does God consider to have lived a saintly life" so there is no honest answer to the question that i can tell you. Unless you mean the New Orelans NFL saints (there are about 30)

Actually, in the Christain faith, anyone who has excepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour becomes at that moment, a saint regardless of their church or social standing. Anyone, from a ditch digger to the Pope.New Testament: 1Corinthians 1:2 "To the church of God which is in Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours."

Within the Roman Catholic church, there are more than 10,000 canonized Saints

over 10,000 offically recognized Roman Catholic Saints
No other church really canonizes new saints, but they accept the ones before their break offs.

Nobody knows how many saints there really are because while Churches may recognize them all admit only God makes saints (those that are in heaven) so there are millions and billions.

Thousands. First of all - all Christians are called "saints" - it means "sanctified" or, "set-aside".

Official Saints of the Roman Catholic Church....?

Check out this list - it goes on for days:

There were 12 disciples. Saints I'm not sure about. Anyone who died before Christ did that followed God is a saint.

Every one who is born again into God's family by his Holy Spirit is a "saint" in God's eyes. The Greek word "hagios" which is translated as "saints" in most Bibles means "holy ones".

If you are asking how many people the church in Rome has elevated to their "official" level of "sainthood" there are a whole slew of them but not near the actual number.

Ephesians 1
1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints (hagios) which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

There are over 10,000 named saints and beati from history, the Roman Martyology and Orthodox sources, but I know of no definitive "head count".
