I see many Christians being against something, because their God doesn't allow them to do things. And that's fine by me, really.

Go on the streets with signs that God hates this and God hates that, etc, etc. It's all fine.

But what is the point? You want people punished during this lifetime? And how should that be done?

If you believe that your God will judge everybody in the end anyway, why not just live and let live?

It's true. If their religion is right gay people will go to hell or whatever. That's no reason to make it illegal for them to marry. Even dangerous criminals are allowed to marry.

Well in the first place, homosexuality is NOT a choice someone makes. They don't just get up in the morning and say
"I think I want to be gay". Just doesn't happen. All human beings are born with a built in capacity to love and want to be loved. It's like wanting to stay warm when we're cold, and wanting to eat when we're hungry. It's just a part of us.
The problem with homosexuals is something happened
to their, we'll call it wiring, when they were a fetus and they got 'wired' wrong. And there was nothing any one could do to
stop it. Some people are just born kinda weird compared to
what we call the 'norm'.One blue eye, one brown, two thumbs
on one hand etc. But these people still have the capacity to love and want to be loved by someone. It's still mother nature.
And the'cross wiring' is what made the difference.
Is God going to punish them for being made different? I don't think so.
Just maybe Some of us for being so judjemental.

God loves you no matter what you are. Sexuality doesn't have anything to do with the way God feels about the individual. He created us. He loves us for what we are and who we are. If God didn't want homosexuals on this earth, they would all drop off the face of the earth. They have a place in society just as we do. Who are we to judge and condemn. They are also children of God and should be loved as well by other human beings. There is no punishment to be made. Live and let live is my theory.

no one person knows God. some people think they do and they think they know what God wants. the bible may have been influenced by God but it was writen by man and man's biases were included. the bible was then translated many times and the message was distorted. the bible was edited to fit what the catholic church thought was best. there are books of the bible that are not included in modern versions. I do not think that the bible is reliable and if one is to really become spiritually enlightened, then they have to read both the old and new bibles and the Quran and literature from any other religion. that being said, God hates no one. God could not send anyone to hell because God is good. why would a being of pure goodness want to send anyone to be tortured for eternity?

Those people that are out there holding signs proclaiming hate didn't read their Bibles. They are a disgusting misrepresentation of the God that is Love. God isn't about hate, He's all about love. Rules are there to keep us safe, not to restrict us. There is freedom in boundaries.

The people holding their signs missed the point completely and as the Bible says, with the measure they judge by, they too will be judged. The Bible says that God's kindness is what leads us to repentance. They missed that verse too.

Please forgive God for His misled people. They are not a true picture of what He is about. God loves everyone, He just hates sin because it hurts us.

You joker, you! You know, like everybody else does, that we are ALL sinners, & when we die, we face the rod of iron, the lake of fire, & eternal hell & torment & & & &
Live & let live? Where have you BEEN? Have the Martians landed? Don't you know if "some" people can't find something to grouse about they'd have to pick their noses. Sorry. But it's true. &--ignorance is NOT bliss.

Edit: Homosexuality. It is NOT a choice, it is NOT learned. It has been proven--& now a controversy of course, that one can determine BEFORE BIRTH the gene, DNA, whatever, of homo or hetero, & SHOULD the parent/s "correct" this. In my practice, the longest relationships have been gay or lesbian. Does this say something???

Live and let live is good. The answer to this and all similar questions is this. If the action or thought comes from God and man receives and does it, there is no punishment for their is no sin. If the action originates in the human mind for its pleasure and does not come from God, it is sin. We all have read that the wages of sin is death. This warning, although very clear, still does not wake some from their dream of loving sin, for they still do not know the face of evil or the subtlety of the serpent.

Most Christians DO believe in "live & let live." They may think something is a sin, but that doesn't mean they want people punished for everything one might label a sin.

Unfortunately, the most judgemental are also the most vocal. And that church that pickets military funerals sickens virtually everyone in any religious community.

in case you observed a guy sexually abusing your little female might you assert stay and permit stay. each physique has a wide-unfold of suitable and incorrect yet how do you define what's suited or incorrect if there is no God. intercourse with your daughter is suited for some human beings and incorrect for others. there is no absolute suitable or incorrect, solid or evil each little thing is relative to each and each individual. Who loves to be lied to, yet as quickly as I deceive you, you won't be able to say that is incorrect for me. who're you to declare, you do not have faith there is absolute morality. that is all relative. Christians proclaim a God who has forgiven sins, we try this out of love it fairly is consistent with an absolute morality, certainty and righteousness. Thank God a large style of the international has been and now could be under the impression of Christianity and growing to be. Love not hate is why Christianity is growing to be.

it is true that some christians think that way but you are steriotypeing. i'll be willing to bet that if you asked the people who put up the signs "what are ten books in the bible" they wouldnt be able to answer. they were brought up with the ignorance that their ancestors started. as a christian, i do not believe that homosexuality is the way to go (if it was then we wouldnt be alive) but i just let them go on living their lives. they hav their views, i have mine
