By listening to the Spirit!

Quiet so you can hear the Spirit.

God is always talking to us and we have the free will to develop our talents. Knowledge and education and just plain skill is what we learn. God has blessed us with talents to learn, listen, love, help, honor Him and forgive others. We have time to develop new talents as long as we are alive. Really, what else is there beside the Talents we are capable of harvesting? Time will tell if we use them. If we do use them, then we know that they are true talents and if they help others they are God's blessings.

We are all blessed in one way or another, even if it's something that seems small, it pleases God for you to do what he has planed for his purposes and pleasures. We are all connected, we all can help one another in some way, no matter how small it seemingly appears.
If it wasn't for us small working people, the big wigs wouldn't be around.
Examlpe...There is this true story I once read, The townsmen wanted to save some money, so they let go the man that kept the ditches cleaned out, of leaves, up above the town. They found out how important he was, the ditches built up with leaves and flooded the town and done serious damage.

Your talent, large or small, it would come to you, pray and ask God to lead you to what it is he wants you to do.

Talent may be finances given to you for a ministry God has given you in the Church, or in the Community. How do you use these funds? The five fold ministry is of the Lord Jesus, and are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors & Teachers.

Then there are special giftings given of the Holy Spirit. These are received of the Holy Ghost, during a Church service or a spiritual raining on the service, and if it a powerful outpour, then the gift you receive is the gift God blesses you with. Usually God blesses as a need arises or is going to arise in your life. The gift of tongues is usually the first gift given, in that one has to submit to God, trusting God & praising God with mouth and let the Holy Spirit teach you to worship God in tongues. But in receiving this by submitting your vocals to God, also God gives the gifts of prophecying (edifying), a word of knowledge understanding or wisdom, or a gift of faith and faith healing. Everyone already has a measure of faith given at born again experience, but there is a special gift of faith that also is required for the special gift of faith healing. 2 Corinthians.

Also, intercessory prayer is something some are called special to do, To pray in the Spirit for others. A gift of hospitality or greeting people at the church.

Some are specially gifted musically some how.

It does take asking God and receiving the answer in your knower.

Music and a wee bit of understanding and insight.

I can tell because that is what I am doing. Whatever you are doing is usually the talent GOD has blessed you with.

God has blessed you with all of your talents. Which one you choose to build on is up to you. Or pick a few that will enhance each other. Simple ask God to lead you. Trust that he is. Have you read the small book "brother Laurence" it is very helpful to someone looking for leading.

talents are the things that we are able to do by using the abilities god has naturally given us. for example, playing the guitar or painting. we are able to use our abilities to learn how to do these things and perfect them with practice.

gifts are from the Holy Spirit and require no practice and opperate at a master level without any practice or effort on our part, like speaking in tounges, healing, prophecy, etc.

bottom line...the difference between a gift and a talent is our source of empowerment.

You can tell what gifts God has blessed you with by actually SEARCHING for them. If there is something that you are good at and love to do, try to excersize that gift(s) and try to make it (them) better.

I don't believe in God (I'm atheist, if you didn't know by now.) But to answer your question, you should know your natural talent. If you don't, try new things. Don't be afraid to test your limits.

You know the answer. It's not an external thing, it's an internal thing.

God is not only external, God is internal within you.

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

Be still, and know.

Just search, no one can really tell you what gift you've been blessed with. And if you're wondering everyone has at least one gift.
