Seriously. I would like to know what your ideas are about R&S in your lives. I mean I know being an atheist is, I just want light shed on the subject. A lot of you get on here and talk about Christians a lot, which I know is easy to do at time with the way they act. I just would like to truly hear what you all think and why you feel the way you do about life.

Thanks....serious answers only - I really want to understand.

Could it possibly be that I am neither a Satanist or a Pagan? Could it be possible that I just like weird symbols and screen names? Not that I find anything wrong with what people choose to adhere to in terms of their religion? Have you ever misjudged anybody based on their picture or screen name or both?

And should "gospel" in the last sentence be capitalized?

Paul seems to be writing his first letter to the Thessalonians largely to encourage the community (Malina 48) which has undergone persecution for its faith (1 Thess 2:14). The people are in particular need of encouragement regarding some members who have died (4:13). Whether these deaths were the result of the persecution is unclear, but whatever their cause, they have become a real source of unrest for the Thessalonians. Their grief is more than just the natural grief that one experiences over the loss of a loved one. I will argue that there is something about these deaths that is potentially shattering to the community’s new faith (Nicholl 48), and that Paul is offering more than just stock words of consolation. He responds by doing what Paul does best: preaching his gospel.

Yeah, it's due tomorrow and that's pretty much all I've got so far!

All that I have ever heard about Kabbalah was publicity from Madonna and Britney Spears. But I am honestly interested in this religion and I was wondering whether or not someone can shine some light on the religion? It seems pretty interesting and fascinating from what I have heard.

Thanks

Why is your response always if you don't except Jesus Christ as your savior you are going to burn in hell for eternity? I am a christian, but if you are trying to convert anyone, that is not a good way of witnessing, don't you think. Anyone reading that will be put off. We are trying to bring people to christ, not scare them away.

Isaiah 53 fortells of the coming Messiah and how he will atone for sin.. If Isaiah is a prophet of God and he foretold of the Messiah and how he would atone for sin with his life.. Why is the Qu'ran which claims to be the word of the God of Abraham not in agreement with Isaiah a prophet of God? and why does Allah claim authorship of the Bible and claims to be in agreement with the prophets when he says Jesus did not die and is not the Savior? The book of Isaiah in the Dead Sea Scrolls predate Christ and does predate the Qu'ran by nearly a thousand years... Say to the people of the book we agree with the revealtion handed down to you...Your God is my God?
Wasn't the revelation handed down the story of Jesus Christ and the prophesies of his coming and the atonement he provided?

If ye continue in my word, ... ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." "Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." John 8:31, 32, 34. "But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness." Romans 6:17, 18. "So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever. And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts." Psalms 119:44, 45.

True freedom comes only from obedience. It means freedom "from sin" (Romans 6:18), or disobedience, which is breaking God's law (1 John 3:4).

What do u think?

I'm rather depressed and discouraged right now, thinking how very far I am from being a "good and faithful servant" to God. Does anyone on here struggle with these kinds of feelings, or do you know any Bible passages that could help me?
Thank you.

Surely if you have faith in God, then there's nothing to fear, for God will save you. The Bible claims God is more powerful than even Satan, so Iran or homosexuals shouldn't be a problem for God to deal with. So why do you constantly preach gloom and destruction? The only reason to have fear then is if you don't really believe in God.

What matters is not the duration of your life, but the domation of it. Not how long you lived, but how you lived.

Abraham was old, Jacob was insecure, Joseph was abused, Moses stuttered, Samson was codependent, David had an affair and family problems, Elijah was suicidal, Jonah was reluctant, Peter was impulsive and hottempered, Thomas had doubts, Paul had poor health.
That is quite a variety of misfits, but God used each of them in his service. He will use you, too, if you stop making excuses.

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesian 2:10

Did God create everything that exists? Does evil exist? Did God create
evil?

A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning
challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything
that exists?"

A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"

"God created everything?" The professor asked.

"Yes sir, he certainly did," the student replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything; then God created
evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our
works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil."

The student became quiet and did not respond to the professor's
hypothetical definition.. The professor, quite pleased with himself,
boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian
faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, "May I ask you a question,
professor?"

"Of course", replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"

"What kind of questio
