I'm rather depressed and discouraged right now, thinking how very far I am from being a "good and faithful servant" to God. Does anyone on here struggle with these kinds of feelings, or do you know any Bible passages that could help me?
Thank you.

No jerk answers, please.

2 Corinthians 1:4

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

I suggest you pray, and the Lord will comfort you. I will pray for you too...

God Bless!

I know exactly what you are talking about, and have been struggling with the same feelings. I feel sometimes that I am not doing enough for him, and I'm not storing up treasure in heaven. Like the bible say, keep pressing on towords the goal. Do not give up, do not turn to your right or left, and know that one day... one day, God will reward you!

I've had feelings similiar to yours in the past. Life can be very difficult sometimes. In fact, I've just recently come through one of the most difficult periods I've ever gone through, where I really struggled with my faith. But, I believe that's one of the really wonderful things about having a personal relationship with Christ - Christ doesn't expect us to be perfect. How's that old saying go, "...we're not perfect, just forgiven."

As a fellow Christian, my suggestion to you is that, during this difficult time in your life, try not to worry so much about how much of a good and faithful servant you're being to God, just let yourself lean on Him. I love 2 Corinthians 12:9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

While none of us enjoy going through difficult times, I've found that going through difficult times has resulted in my having a deeper relationship with Christ, because it's during the darkest times that we really come to understand that God will never leave us nor forsake us.

Hang in there, my Christian friend. I'm a witness that there is a light at the end of long dark tunnels...and they aren't oncoming trains.

Blessings to you...

Jeremiah 29: 11-14

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.

I believe that a good and faithful servant of God would know that God is not that monster in the bible.

Children of GOD will go through all kinds of feelings thanks to satan--Children of GOD only lose if you give up.
Don't ever give up.
Give out do not give up.
Never.
Keep on keeping on, we win in the end.
Jesus is Lord.
Ditto..and hope this helps.
