Well, generally people choose avatars and usernames based upon what they like, or their beliefs, or whatever. But You bring up a good point... maybe you just like the picture? Or thought the name was cool. You very well may not be a Pagan/Satanist.
I try my best not to "judge a book by its cover," but I think since it's a part of human nature, it happens anyways. But I like your question and it brings up a good point! :)

Indeed, screenames shouldn't really be a basis for deciding what a person is like unless they are blatantly asking for it (like a mentally deficient person always asking for directions after an improbable situation who's name will be thinly disguised but so far not mentioned)
I expect anyone with the screename Neo has probably seen the matrix, but I'm not about to go and expect him to walk around the streets in a dark cape with kung-fu broken by small witty remarks. sometimes a name's just a name, or something you like.

Unfortunately, I have to admit I'm not very educated on the sets of beliefs of either group. So, your name and symbol really don't make me jump to any conclusions.
Funny you asked about the avatars/pictures....I was wondering the same thing. I always seem to be drawn toward the cute animals and don't want to say anything that might offend the person (not that I try to offend everyone else, I just try harder not to offend the animal avatars.) God's kitten and Lamb of God are two examples of what I'm talking about.

Only your heart and mind make you a Pagan and Satanist. Look to your heart and mind. If you believe you are, then you are, but if you believe you are not, then maybe you should look at what others think and change the image. For me, I shave my head and wear skinhead gear. Am I a skinhead? Yes, for that is what I want others to see and think. It is the image I portray.

A right side up pentagram is the symbol for pagans and the upside down one is for satanism. Don't let labels define you. Confuse people so you can see their true colors and their stupidity shine through.

Misjudgement is an act of stupidity.
People dont label people. People label themselves. Sight is something that misleads many.

lol mine seem to bring a picture of a guy.. at least I know ahead of time that people are going to call me a Satan worshipper because I'm pagan.
I know that you are an agnostic. But, that's because I've taken time to read your profile and pay attention to your answers.
You're a terrific person!

I didn't want to be misjudged, so I used my avatar. Before, when I didn't do that, people thought I was a guy.
