I mean, we obviously are not worshiping these things, it's just a visual of what's in heaven, or what jesus did for us!
Plus, everyone has a nativity set, yes?

What is a good Christian Relationship?
i'm 16 years old.. and i have a boyfriend and.. lets just say the only thing we have in common is Christ.

Of course... i'm only human and really.. really immature. I do admit i have sexual desires and i do make out with him. I know that he feels the same way..

I know right now.. i really want to, i know it's wrong, not only reglion wise, but i'm too young.

is making out bad?

what would jesus want?

I dont, but I would if I owned one. I have yet to replace the one I lost a few months ago.

So, with all the questions about it latley, lets clear the air, why DO you wear a cross, and do you think it is strange in anyway, being that it is a symbol of the implement that lead to Christs death?

My simple answer to my own question is:

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.1 Corinthians 1:18 (NIV)

Makes me want to run out and buy a new one!

Yet, the New Testament demands those Christians to adhere to its (OT) law!

- Luke 16:17: "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail"

Believing in God and not believing in God is a choice. I want to know, what makes you chose not to believe? And when you say you do not believe, is that 100% disbelief, or do you believe a little? Would it be possible to change your mind?

If you choose "follower", welcome to most of the human race. If you choose "leader", tell us something about yourself, what you've done, how you've led others. Thanks.

In church Sunday, a speaker said when he was on his mission (LDS) his mission president once asked him "do you believe or do you know?" The point of his talk was gaining a testimony of the Book of Mormon and of course he challenged us to ask ourselves if we believe the gospel is true or if we know the gospel is true.
So, now I am asking you, not necessarily LDS only, but of your own testimony, are there things you believe but don't "know"... or things you "know" to be true of the gospel.
I know for myself the gospel is true and try to live it as best I can.

There is a verse in the Quran the sets that if a man dies, his wife should inherit QUARTER of his estate. The same verse also says that if a woman dies, her husband should inherir HALF of her estate.

Why the Quran allows that discrimination although from what I see I realize that a widow woman (who usually has no job) is usually in need for money more than a widow man (who already has a job)?

P. S.
women in Islam usually do not work and therefore if the husband dies she will have no income.

Where in the bible Jesus says that he had to be killed/sacrificed for human sins to be forgiven? AND I mean Jesus, I don't care about what Paul or other con men said.
I'm sure Jesus kept repeating that we had to kill him, because that what the whole point of his mission was according to Christians. So please give me some references.

my friend goes to this church, she's not allowed to talk to anyone who's not in her 'cell' especially not boys.

they lure the kids in with things they like, free soup for students and rock music.

the whole thing sounds suspicious to me...they have 'baby school' for 0-2 yrolds.

the whole thing seems creepy to me...should i be worried about my friends?

Why is it that most Yahoo Answers users like to criticise the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints? We LDS people dont criticise Yehovah's Witnesses, Pagans, Atheists, Muslim's or Jews, so why do we have to deal with the bad end of the stick??? I'm proud of being a Latter-Day Saint, but I dont like being told that I'm a member of a dangerous cult, because I'm not!

We're not here to be rude about everyone elses religion, but to ask questions. So why cant we all just respect each others beliefs or more to the point why dont you respect our beliefs when we respect yours??
