I'm not into seances, but I would think you'd get the same results whether day or night as long as you follow the same guidelines in doing a seance, whatever those may be.

Ideally, it should be done close to midnight. The world(s) are said to be stiller, you know, not so much hubbub everwhere. I read one book a few years ago that said supernatural endeavors should be undertaken at 3:00 a.m., but most resources agree on midnight. Besides, in the dark, there is that otherworldy feel you just can't get in the daytime.
