Our president is human just like the rest of us. He is not above any of the faults that the rest of us have, including lying. So your question really has nothing to do with god or anyone else. It hs to do with human nature.

Are you serious?? If so, then the devil made him do it! If god exists, he would surely not have encouraged or condoned George W. Bush's invasion of Iraq! We, the American people and our representatives in Congress, were indeed told lies in order for the Administration to convince us of the righteousness of their inciting the war: of the existence weapons of mass destruction and a connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, both blatant untruths. Colin Powell, the Secretary of State at the time, was made to go before the United Nations and to perpetuate the lies, to his humiliation. Nor would the President and Vice President delay their "shock and awe" destruction of what was (before the U. S. invasion) a civilized county in order to allow the U.N. to continue its search for WMD. Ask yourself: If the Iraq war was god's idea and has his blessing, then why is it going so badly? Why has it degenerated into a bloody a civil as wiser voices had predicted during the first Gulf War, including the President's father? Why did it not end when George Bush declared it over four years ago? Why have more the 3000 Americans died and more than 60,000 (conservative estimate) Iraqis?? Why is Al Qaeda now active in Iraq? Why do the Iraqis consider the U.S. to be enemy combatants and illegal occupiers, hate them and believe them fair targets for murder? Please do not saddle god with the responsibility for this ill-conceived and hideous war!!

inspect it this way. If devil exists, and hates God and is an enemy of god, does not or not this is in his ideal interest that persons don't have faith in God? devil does not care which you do not have faith in his existence the two. he's merely happy if human beings do not worship God. i don't opt to argue how achieveable the existence of God is. i assume you in basic terms do not see it the way I do. God has plenty to offer. His love, his coaching, his forgiveness and his promise of everlasting happiness with Him. a lot of those issues devil detests and does not want for the people God created and loves. He lies to human beings approximately God. He does this in many techniques. Atheists are to not be criticized for falling into devil's traps in worse techniques than absolutely everyone else is. The devil can take a believer , and tempt him to forget what God taught and be an outrageous hypocrite. devil is the foundation rationalization for something that retains us from loving and serving God.
