The question you are asking reminds me so much of Fundamentalist Christians. I spent many years "believing" the way they do. These people usually don't think for themselves. They read and "understand" the Bible literally or as their pastor TELLS them to. As a result, they are very narrow minded. Today, I am no longer a fundamentalist. I feel much freer and happier today. I believe Jesus looked upon people with love. Thank you for your question.

What you see as a "lifestyle" is an abomination in God's eyes. Just check out what happened to Sodom and Gomorah in the book of Genesis. Did you know that Heaven is a Holy place. Do you know that anything unclean cannot enter there. Those who are going to inherit Heaven are going there not because they are popular here on earth, but because they have believed on God in the name of His Son, and God's Holiness dwells among them. So don't be surprised if the heirs of salvation are going to speak the truth about sin. The point of the Gospel is that all men repent and be saved. That includes everyone, cause everyone sins. Yes the Gospel in not a popular message, but the truly wise will heed the call repent and be saved. Sincere blessings

Just to let you know, Jesus does not look past your sins. Sin keeps you from God, thats why Jesus died for us. Everyone must live by the standard that the bible sets, almost impossible, but we must try. It is wrong to have a bad attitude towards anyone that lives a certain lifestyle, because who are we to judge, christians are not perfect either. Everyone sins.

Amen!
I think this line of thinking comes from people who take the Christian call to spread the gospel so seriously that they can't imagine how anyone could be happy NOT believing exactly what they believe. It's too bad because I somehow don't think that that's what Jesus would do. Heck, what's that passage about the woman at the well who had had five husbands? Jesus didn't tell her off. Why should we?

I do not expect people who are not Christians to act like they are. I do expect people who claim Jesus Christ to live a life that honors Him. If the church acts like the rest of the world then what is the point of being a Christian. We are called to be set apart. To live a life different than the world lives. Yes we still sin and mess up, but we should not continue in sin.

People tend to want other people to be like them. When they are different, it seems to some a slap in the face. Thus, they seek to disapprove of the things that cause these symbolic slaps, because their pride is damaged. I may not agree with certain actions or lifestyles, but who am I to tell someone that my opinions are more valid than theirs? Blessings in the Light of Christ!

Jesus never said it to my knowledge, tho i don't know the guy. however, there is a scripture saying "men do not lie down with other men." or something like that. of course the bible was translated how many times and for how many different reasons, how many years ago? and that begins to border on a question of spirituality vs religion.

The Bible. It directs Xians to shun those with a Naturalistic World-view, for one example (not everything in The Bible is something Jesus said, of course.)

And as a Christian I thank you for not being gay.
Well Christians do not accept homosexuality, hence, the lifestyle thing. "Lifestyle" is just a pleasant way of saying we don't like your sexual habits.

Because just like lucifer, some christians think they are BETTER than God or can stand in the place of God always pointing out flaws but somehow NEVER seeing their own.
