Yes, most Christians are aware of it ... as a matter of fact... it's the point of the matter. Jesus was a human sacrifice to end all sacrafices forevermore .... it is a basic tenant of evangelical Christianity. Was there any early faith tradition that did not feature sacrafice?

Is this supposed to be some sort of a news flash?

All the old testament sacrifices pointed to the one time, once for all, perfect and redeeming sacrifice of Jesus, on the cross.

That put an an end to the need for any new sacrifices, ever.

We are aware that there is a lamb who was slain before the foundation of the world. It is not God but man who is into animal sacrifice --- in terms of what in means in current lingo to be "into" something.

If you read the events in Eden you will find that the Lord himself clothed Adam and Eve in bloody skins and accepted the bloody offering of Abel while rejecting the flowers and produce of Cane. God is a spirit, do you suppose He needs blood. The answer is He needs a perfect sacrifice..

It is man who fell into the realm of flesh and blood and it was and is man that needed and needs to present an offerng of pure blood to return to his former state. These types of sacrifice were common about the world but could not atone for sin.

Ever notice that after the death of Christ Jesus and the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem that animal sacrifice became mostly a thing of the past outside of occult practice?

The sacrifice conducted and directed from Moses was a type of the coming redemptive act. On a functional basis it was often much like having a big packing plant for supply of protein; in what was not only a religion but a religious economy of a people comprised of tribes..

God's nature in love is to be a saviour. There is no life outside of God. You are saying that life is into death which is nonsense. God is pleased to be called our God and we are pleased to be called his people. It remains that this same God is life and light to all.

The wages of sin is death. For sin to be forgiven, atonement must be made. The sacrifice of Christ on the cross means that God himself shed his own blood for the salvation of humankind. Time to see things as half full instead of half empty. Blessings

The Bible is only important because it is the reason many people can read and write and use their ability to say how wrong it is. Any other problem in the world has people saying how to fix it.
