Yet, the New Testament demands those Christians to adhere to its (OT) law!

- Luke 16:17: "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail"

HI
Because Jesus sacrifice released us from Jewish law and he has new instructions for Christians to live by in the new testament although the old teachings should not be ignored the new testament applies more to us now, so that is the focus of how Christ wants us to live.

Sorry, but you have it wrong.

LUKE 16:17 was true, right up until the moment Jesus died on the cross.

Then, all that was written about Christ in the Law, the Prophets, and the Psalms would shortly be fulfilled, and the Law ... every jot and tittle of it ... would be set aside.

The Law only lasted until Jesus fulfilled it. Then it was gone, and good riddance, too, because the law was never capable of saving anyone ... not then and not now.

Mat 5:18 For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law,
TILL ALL BE FULFILLED.
===================

While the sentence structure is a bit strange, Jesus says here that the Law will endure until the end of the world, OR until he perfectly fulfills it.

He fulfilled it. All the old Law is through!

We are saved through the grace obtained for us by Christ on the cross, through the mercy of God, and by faithful baptism into his church.

Not by any law.

The new covenant church later readopted and readapted the spirit of most of the original 10 commandments, but left behind all the other archaic laws, ordinances, and statutes.

This is the reason we're not stoning adulterers and prosecuting people for sabbath violations today.

No Christian should ever attempt to ignore the old testament, but the old laws ... ALL of them, thank God ... are no more.

Why do you think the Old Testament is such unheard of things.

If you read the paper and watch the news horrible things are happening now.

If you don't believe in God, How can you blame Him if He doesn't exist?
How can you ask Why would God allow something to happen
if He doesn't exist.

Seems like someone is talking out of both sides of their mouth.

What sounds like a cop out is when the people who say God doesn't exist, but yet they blame God for everything that goes wrong in the world.

And it's going to get alot worse, because people are not believing or turning their backs on God.

God created everyone and everything, we belong to Him, those who don't believe this are running around, thinking they are little gods in control of God's world.

How long do you think God will put up with it?

Take the advice from j-Z.

I thank God for His free gift, Eternal Life through Jesus Christ

As for as hating Jews, not true for me, Jesus is Jewish.
Salvation comes from the Jews. Once the gentiles accepted
Christ there is no difference between Jew or Gentile.

To any christian that responded to u and discounted the old testament.........THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIAN. The old testament is the FOUNDATION for the new testament. Christians who discount the old testament are as Jesus spoke of those who build their house on sand..THEY WILL FALL. but nowadays these people "pick and choose" what to live by. A TRUE CHRISTIAN that is living as the new testament says is inherently living the laws of the old testament. Its just that it is SPIRITUAL and not all the PHYSICAL and formal rituals. So to those FAKE Christians who discount the old testament. Read before u preach. If not then u are no different than any other hypocrites in this world!!!

The Old Testament points us to Christ. I do not ignore it. But you are taking a verse out of context. The Judaizers thought just as you do. Read Galatians and Romans. It will help explain this to you. It fits perfectly with the OT. Grace.is the key. We cannot keep the law, we must strive to not sin, but the keeping of the law for salvation nullifies Christs death as a sacrifice. Saying that you need law for salvation nails a sign to the cross that says "required but not enough" think about it.

i'm no longer the terrific guy or woman to respond to this. The previous testomony is the previous covenant between God and mankind. whilst Jesus got here to die for the observe that's whilst the recent covenant grow to be started. regulations replaced and that's the fast answer to why the regulations are no longer taken actually. i'm sensing you're no longer a christian or religious. you will no longer get what grow to be pronounced above or until eventually you have a metamorphosis of coronary heart. as a techniques because of the fact the ten commandments. That grow to be a diverse tale. those are issues that all people can stay unsleeping too. unlike stoning somebody that woks on the sabbath, etc. additionally God says some thing approximately trusting those that are put in can charge and in government. With that pronounced lots of the stoning rules might honestly wreck lots of the different rules that we've as we talk. so a techniques as you thinking that public construction showing the ten commandments on a sides of them. i won't argue with them. it is an argueable occasion. We because of the fact the u . s . a . grow to be started on a christian history from the fore fathers and founders of this us of a. hence they're nevertheless up. We might have reached a factor that that's no longer longer perfect to demonstrate those in our international locations public homes. so a techniques as you attempting to make a factor your argument isn't valid. that's seen a purple haring. you attempt to deliver mild to a minimum of a few thing that isn't on the subject count of whether or no longer the ten commandments ought to be published in public homes. this is a controversy that ought to be vaild. Christians have self assurance that they might leave factors out of the previous testomony because of the fact of unruly little ones, or somebody picking up sticks on the sabbath ought to be stoned to death. Or a sufferer ought to marry a rapist, slavery, or eating Francis Bacon or lobster is punishable by utilising death.... yet they shop the ten commandments. why is this? i'm unsure a thank you to respond to this question. Christians do not ignore the Old Testement, but as we find new people who want to read the Holy Bible, I always suggest to start in the New Testement. The Old Testement was the beginning and we do not ignore that. We have studied it many times and it is difficult to understand, for beginners. Christians do read and study both the Old and the New Testements of the Holy Bible. I do not hate the Jewish People, but I Love and Respect them as any other culture. Jesus was a Jewish person. I Love Jesus !!

I don't think you are taking into account the whole NT. I don't have time to go into it - it would take more than a few minutes - so all your getting in response is a book of the bible to look up at your leisure if you feel so inclined to do so. Your answer can be found in the book of "Galatians". There's even some more in the book of "Ephesians". Go ahead - answer your own question and read Galatians. Cheers! :o)

In a hundred years, they'll disown the Old Testament because it's connected to Islam and Judaism.
