And they dont have to obey them any longer? And others still must be obeyed. How is it that they can pick out certain ones for obeying and certain others for not obeying? How is it decided which is to be obeyed and which is not?

They are the same thing scientifically speaking. As "microevolution" adds up, it turns into macroevolution. This process is called speciation.

I wonder if ID is just a last ditch attempt to conform to more obvious aspects of science. It even presents itself as a theory, lol. The death throes of Fundamentalism...

Suppose you're on a game show, and you're given the choice of three doors: Behind one door is a car; behind the others, goats. You pick a door, say No. 1, and the host, who knows what's behind the doors, opens another door, say No. 3, which has a goat. He then says to you, "Do you want to pick door No. 2?" Is it to your advantage to switch your choice?

Remember, people use intuition/faith everyday to tell them that their religion is the correct one.

Another question that was up had me thinking about this and why some Christian groups are so against Pagans doing charity publicly. Does my making donations to local charities mean I am seen as a "good Christian"? Or does my being pagan invalidate any good works I do simply because of my faith? Opinions are welcome. Bible thumping is not.

I believe in evolution, yet I also believe in the existence of god

yet people say I can't believe in both at the same time.

I say why not? what stops God designing the concept of evolution? why must the two things be seperate?

I also believe in the possibility of reincarnation.

why is it so hard for people who wonder whether all of these things exist hand in hand?

why must all these theories be seperate?

So if I get a thumbs down or nasty email I'm calling "hate crime" from now on

What do you think? (do meet the obligatory "where's your question" answer)

I dont go to church because of reasons that I don't want to explain but I believe in GOD whom I feels lives in each and everyone of us. I don't feel that you must go to church in order to believe in GOD but my ex-girlfriend used to tell me that I couldn't believe in GOD unless I go to church and became a member. I didn't feel the same way about it, was i wrong?

I am a Bi-Sexual christian, I live in Canberra Australia, but am moving to Melbourne soon.

I have told a few people, like my minister, and some close friends.

My main problem is my family, my mum is strongly against homosexual relationships. I can't tell her, nor do I want to live for her. I don't want to hurt my mum, she has a pride in me of being her only christian child, this would take away the fact that i am a christian.

I am worried she will find out from others i have told, but I can't keep it inside with the others.

I believe in God, there are too many things around me that CAN NOT be explained in any other fashion. But I am really tired of "christians" using the Bible to justify what they do, and CONDEMN others for their actions because they "THINK" or "ASSUME" someone is not a christian by the way they live their lives. Doesn't the bible say judge not? Before you go "Bible Beating" me for my opinons, stop and THINK about what you want to say. Use your OWN ideas, not what someone else tells you what you should think. That's what GOD gave you a brain for in the first place.

I would love to hear what ANYONE has to say on this!!

Now I know it is called a theory but, don’t we have proof of it that we see every day, look at strawberries. Naturally strawberries are smaller than a blueberry. How is it now the size it is. It is a larger size because of genetic engineering. Genetic engineering still proves evolution because the plan adapts to the shock and the change and grows without problem. We are a prime example we had to adapt during the ice age, and when the world heated back up. Look at how birds and animals are pulling out of hibernation early because the weather has changed so much that spring came earlier. It doesn’t have to be a dramatic change to be evolution and adaptation to environment. Another thing is that we have proof that humans had a lot more hair than we do now is that not adapting ? just some food for thought

I'm considering choosing a denomination of Christianity later in my life to increase my chances of going to a heaven, just in case. I know if I become Catholic, my slate will be wiped clean right when I do a confession... I was wondering if choosing one denomination over another in Christianity has a more favorable chance of getting into heaven? Are there any that God discredits? If a non-denominational Christian has an equal or better chance at salvation that a Catholic one, which requires countless kneeling and standing and communion and confession, etc etc etc on sundays, wouldn't that be the most practical choice?
