The time has come for all religions to denounce the people responsible for the use of inocent Children in suicide bombs in iraq,no god would condone this but i am convinced that by christian standards that these Children will recieve God,s love but the planners of these attacks will suffer Hell in it's most extreme and may they feel all the pain they inflicted on others in their evil plans.

Someone just asked if was a sin to pleasure yourself. Several people said the bible said it was. Are you reading a different Bible than I have? Guess if you try hard enough, you can make the bible say it's wrong to do anything.

I was married outside the church, and subsequently divorced. Was I ever married in the church's eyes? In my mind it doesn't equate to was I married in God's eyes, just wondering how people would think the church would view it.

Now, I'm a Pagan (Happy Belated Ostara, by the way!) and I realized something...

... if someone could do the same things Jesus did in the Bible, or similar things, and said they were the son of God...

... they'd be thrown in the looney bin or put in jail.

So, theoretically, couldn't Christians be waiting for a second coming that'll never come!

I mean, take a walk down Broadway sometime in NYC... a lot of homeless people screamin' out they're Jesus. What if one of them's it, eh? Or what if the Christians already put the new Jesus into the looney bin?

Just a thought. Meant for laughs more than anything. But you can ponder it, too, if you want.

I know this is a huge question but I would like some insight, I have had the same friends for years we were there for the good the bad and the ugly, however, now that we are older the openness is not there. I am not Christian I believe God to be Universal and through many avenues due to culture etc. My friends are christian, I am the only one who has children and my friends are placing prayer versues over my kids pictures and encourageing them to throw my spiritual items in the trash and buying christian toys,books,videos etc. as gifts for them. I want to raise my children to be non biaist and have well rounded education. how can I tell my friends I need them to accept me for who I am as I choose to accept them and I am not thrilled they are being condescending by pushing their views on my kids.

Your flesh is what is incompatible with your soul and God for that matter. God created us in his image to have fellowship with him. In perfection, our flesh had no sin therefore we could have fellowship and not fear death. Once sin entered the world, we live in fear of a holy God who can dissolve our flesh and send our souls to eternal torment in hell.
We are told to die to self and live for God. What part of the flesh can be saved? What good thing in God's eyes is a body that will die from the affects of sin to an eternal soul? I say DNA has been programmed with sin. Sin will one day rob us of our living bodies. Yet, sin will only rob us of our souls if we don't live through its effects by the spirit of the Almighty God.
Sin has been with us from the garden. That must have been some fruit God created that had the power to alter DNA in such a way to reach into time and touch every living human being.

1st off, if you believe Jesus was the embodyment of the spirit of God, he was against church and preachers. If the only literature to save your soul/spirit/life is the bible and it is available anywhere you go, in any language, what makes you think someone else reading it or telling you what to read can save you? Isn't it a fact that Satan could use the exact man-made form of worship to benefit himself but make people think they are "doing good". My basic point is why can't people trust in their hearts and fill their minds with God's word, of course everyone makes mistakes and goes through hard times but why can't people find their own way? You were given all the tools to do so.

The Lord sayeth, where there is three in my name, there I am also.
The Devil taketh the saints and divide them.
With no church, they know not where to go.
So for a while the church stands, but with no prophet to guide the way.
The church deteriorates day by day.
Along comes a boy, in a time when the believers of God are finally lost.
They form churches of many different secs, and build them up at the peoples cost.
But one person knows the bible all too well, and though he is confused, rather then trust in the hand of flesh, which is man...
He prays to the Father because he believes that God will help him understand.

He tell him he has a great work for him, and many that he will be with.
Though he is visited by angels, sees visions and does miracles in the name of Our Father
