Muslims are just as deluded as Christians. Christians have been beaten down by science and logic in the Western countries. Muslims are were the Christians were 1000 years ago. Just look at the Crusades and the witch burnings among other nasty habits of Christians up until the 1800 hundreds.
Freedom of thought has been squashed in Muslim countries thus we have these backward ideas from them in the 21st century.

First, I am NOT anti-Muslim. Having said that, you do know that it was Muslims who orchestrated 9/11. Not the Jews. Not the Ba'hai. Not Mormon Missionaries. Not Tibetan Buddhist monks. Not Shinto nuns. Not Zoroastrians. Nor, Wiccans, nor Baptists, nor, well...you get the idea.
Yes, they are a psychotic bunch, and yes, they are in the minority. And yes, we recognize that the majority of Muslims are hard-working, good people who just want their children to grow up happy (not strapped to explosvie devices).
But...when the RCMP in Canada found another plot to create terror (organizd by Muslims) the Muslim leaders got up and spoke. Did they distance themselves from these people? Did the condemn the actions? NO! They told the Canadian Prime Minister to watch what he's saying and shut up! They told us non-Muslims that we are wrong!
Yes, you guys suffer a great deal of intolerance. But intolerance goes two ways. I would suggest that if you don't agree with the dogma that Al Qaeda preaches, speak out! When you keep silent, you look like a sympathizer.

I'm am not against muslims at all because of 9/11. I don't think it's right to judge an entire religion by what only a couple people did.
I have studied the Islam religion myself when I was trying to figure out what religion I was, and I didn't find a lot of what Muhammad said and did, very promising. I found that Christianity made sense the most, and felt right.
I'm not scared or against muslims, I think they should be treated equally as everyone else.
I do think though, the Muslim religion is a bit misguided. If you want to know more, there are a lot of helpful websites out there.

I am not against Muslims. I don't agree with their religion, but I don't hate them. I am against the Islamic Extremists. These are the people I hold accountable for 9/11. I have heard to many Muslims that disagree with the extremists way. My only wish would be that the Muslims who are not like the extremists would step up and take their faith back from those who are tarnishing it.

9/11 isn't being blamed on every Muslim in the world, just the ones who perverted Islam & died in the planes. At least that's my belief. I think it is amazing that so many people are ignorant of the fact that Christians, Jews & Muslims all believe in the God of Abraham, Issac, & Jaccob. That's the same God. It irritates me so much to hear people bastardize someone else's faith when they don't have a clue about their own, I am speaking to the Christians here who don't take the time to learn about Christianity. BTW I am a Christian.

What are you talking brother. After 9/11 Muslims all around the world increased by over 25%. There is 1.4 Billion Muslims on Earth. No one hates us, but they hate the extremists. Only those who blame a crowd for ones act dislikes Muslims and obviously they're too ignorant to look into the religion and see for themselves what it is. Fix your spelling brother.

curious: I am a Christian, I have a very close Muslim friend, and I do know this. I know that in everything which exists there is a good and a bad side. I know that the Muslim religion condemns murder or hurting of others. When Muslim extremists taint the name of Allah by murdering others in "His name", those extremists bring toxic shame on the Muslim faith, and the stench of that shame rises into the very nostrils of Allah. Muslims though, have to take a more vocal posture in condemning these extremists to the non-Muslim world. Our Devine and Holy Creator Allah or God (whatever, you might call Him), wants for all of the human creation to love one another and treat each other with kindness and love.

I am studying for a doctorate in medieval Arabic philosophy. The more I learn about the history and culture of Islam, the more I find to admire about it. Westerners (like myself) are as a rule very ignorant of the history of Islamic cultures, and very few westerners speak Arabic (or Farsi, or Turkish, or any other language predominantly spoken by Muslims). I think this ignorance is a major cause of distrust and suspicion.

No, I don't hate muslims. My husband is a muslim and I'm not, and that never seemed to be a problem with us.
There are ignorant people who like to generalize and departmentalize, rather than look at an individual person and make up their mind.

Wll when the Muslims are in the majority in a community then the rest become second class citizens, and that I do not care for. I think that the Muslims should really stay in their own countries and try to maintain peace in them. This is my honest opinion as I don't think the Islam mixes well with other religions.
Aside from Islamic extremists, a Muslim dominated country normally wants Sharia law and puts a tax on non Muslims. This is contrary to Democracy and what it stands for. Seeing women completely covered when the men dress normal to our culture is contrary to women's liberty in the USA. We believe that women should not be treated as property, but as equal persons and they should have their lives and choices even in marriage, and I don't generally see that in Islam. (It may be, but I haven't seen it)
You may give me a thumbs down, but this person asked for opinions and I have given an honest one..
