In Malachi 3 vs.8-9 it says " 8Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

9Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. "

does that mean they were cursed for NOT paying their tithes and were in the bible does it say that we still do today?(since were not under the old law)

God will never give you more than you can bear.

do you agree with this statement? why or why not. like i said above... if you don't believe in god, it's irrelevant... or, you can replace god with whoever your higher power is and answer that way

Better yet, does Satan have an account as well. Putting a check on all those with the potential to be future religous tyrants or just your run of the mill heritics?

I've always been curious as to what followers of the 3 Abrahamic religions believe about the eternal destination of those who commit suicide. Is damnation imminent? Is salvation possible? Is God merciful to those who kill themselves because of mental illness?

Who is the worst representative of your religious or spiritual beliefs.

Please elaborate.

As a Muslim I'd have to say one of the goofs heading HAMAS. He has effectively labled Muslims as everything they are not, murderers, racist etc. The damage done by HAMAS to Islam is not easily reversable. The Qur'an specifies rules of engagement and women, children, elderly and non-combatants are not ot be harmed. Thanks HAMAS for making the world more ignorant.

Ever wonder about that? What part would she play in our salvation and all other matters? What name would she be given? And how would she be introduced to mankind by God?

if Adoption is the solution to abortion. then How many of you are willing to Adopt 2-3 children. be responsible for them and pay for their lives for 18 years. and then send them off to college.
If we assume that there are 1 million abortions in america per year that would make an average of five hundred thousand families that need to step up and take the responsibility.

remember now, there are already millions of kids in the foster system that do not have Adopted Parents. the system is overflowing.

so how many will you take. how many can you afford to take. it costs an average of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars over 18 years to raise a child. not including college.

so i ask again, how many extra bedrooms do you have?

how many will you take?

how many can you afford?

how many do you HAVE?

if you have none, will take none and can afford none or have beds for none. then who are you to say "give it up for adoption"?

the homes simply are not there.

Christs using a parable, NOTE world. why not say don't deisre the flesh, like the prists preach. maybe Jesus was pointing to heaven. he also says there r no marriages in heaven, so save yourself for the kingdom of God. now what is wrong with the flesh, of this world. I've been calling everyone animals with the way they deisre one another, or lust. now how do U, if im correct, desire flesh that is in heaven, that I can get my wife in heaven. my answer so far... as I seek his face, only he knows. just that the flesh is evil, a mans eyes can desire so many woman. so much hurt I've seen with people with the way they desire one anouther. so many people cheating on each other, no virgin love, almost every woman that I know have had 2 or more lovers, I can't even look at them. the flesh is evil, but u r all blinded by the plesure. not knowing that the devil is taking your mate away, and God warns U all not to desire the flesh of this world. but all think for themselfs. or follow the world.

I'm just toying with the idea. In the spaces that were reserved for reviews of long-running plays and musicals for which nobody read the reviews anyway (like "Fiddler on the Roof," or "Cats") the New Yorker Magazine used to put in, instead of a review, excerpts from well-known novels - like "Ulysses," or "Finnegan's Wake."

Whenever we see a question of epistemology ('how do you know what you know?") or textual criticism ("what does the Bible mean by these words?") or elementary ethics ("shouldn't Jean Valjean admit he stole the candlesticks and go to prison anyway?"), should we just put in passages from favourite novels?

I'm just guessing that it would broaden my reading.
