if Adoption is the solution to abortion. then How many of you are willing to Adopt 2-3 children. be responsible for them and pay for their lives for 18 years. and then send them off to college.
If we assume that there are 1 million abortions in america per year that would make an average of five hundred thousand families that need to step up and take the responsibility.

remember now, there are already millions of kids in the foster system that do not have Adopted Parents. the system is overflowing.

so how many will you take. how many can you afford to take. it costs an average of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars over 18 years to raise a child. not including college.

so i ask again, how many extra bedrooms do you have?

how many will you take?

how many can you afford?

how many do you HAVE?

if you have none, will take none and can afford none or have beds for none. then who are you to say "give it up for adoption"?

the homes simply are not there.

to be more exact we has 852,122 legal abortions in the united states in 2003.
(last statisitc that i could find. ) slightly shy of the million that i guessed.

the figure on raising a child, is based on
a mere 500 dollars a month for all expenses..probably much more expensive than that.

7,

if god is involved here then his holy A** needs to drag himself down here and fix some things.

and if god is involved then it must be his all knowing all powerful will that allows it in the first place. otherwise the doctor would drop dead before it happened right.

or does your god not care that much.

Believe me, once my life is stable enough I will be adopting. (Right now my life is barely stable enough for myself). I hope to be able to take in a couple older kids.

So ratchet down the hostility a notch or two okay?

But what if we can't afford it? But what if the foster system is overflowing? But what if the mother doesn't have the money??

I don't know. Let's start with stopping the murder and then we can work on the lesser things like money. That sure is a crappy reason to kill a baby.

By the way, of the 1 million abortions how many of those were going to be miscarriages anyway? How many were the moms going to decide to keep and love, like thousands do each year?

People want babies. Someone who doesn't want the child from birth is more likely to have their child adopted.

A lot of children in the foster care system aren't being adopted because they were taken away from their parents when they were older.

Chris,
The sad fact is if we do NOT allow these Women to MURDER their fetuses then we should have a lot less pregnancies per year. A number of these people do not use any birth control because daddy or the health insurance will abort that fetus as a nasty little problem rather than a True Human LIFE. Why is it that you want to rationalize MURDER by the cost of raising a child? That is the least of our problems here. What is really here is the fact that there are not enough LOVING PARENTS in this world to care for each and every one that is being MURDERED today, RIGHT NOW! Murder is a capital Offense in some states yet KILLING the YOUNG is a sport by our Politicians they consider it a woman's Right to Decide. That is absolutely INSANE! Have a great weekend and think about this seriously please. MURDER should not be a mother's right to choose.

You think yourself so wise...yet you forget that GOD is involved here too. He is not some fairy tale amongst the rank of santa or what have you---HE is the giver of life. The LORD makes provision for these children.

Plus, there is alot of scandal and deceit going on concerning the Foster system. A vast majority of the children who wind up in foster care and then have to suffer the to and fro' of adoption processes, are children that were WRONGFULLY removed from their parents. Its about money, its all about money...

How can you watch a live or a recorded abortion and be pro-choice? Where is the accountability on the WOMAN'S part? There is NONE. This world does not care, these women can live like whores and then piss and moan that " OMG! I cant believe Im pregnant--how did this hapen?" There is no accountability, and that is why they seek abortion. IT SHOULD BE REQUIRED VIEWING FOR THOSE WHO SEEK ABORTION.

I'm not at the stage in my life where I can have my own kids, much less adopt. My dream though is to open a foster home for the children in Africa because of the aids epidemic there is causing so much devastation.

I don't know if I trust your numbers... But I would absolutely love to adopt.

oh hey, if we're getting overcrowded we could just kill off the elderly... by the same logic it's the same thing...

Adoption is not the solution to abortion, abstinence is. We should teach abstinence to our young people rather than supplying them with birth control and making abortion an option.

Sorry, you are wasting your time in talking to me:)) cuzz 1) It took me a long time to read what you wrote. 2) Abortion has been legal in China for hundreds of years now. 3) When I went to college in the US when I was younger, I was for not against abortion.

I would take as many as I could afford.
But really, that's beside the point.Do you advocate killing of the elderly if there aren't enough hospital beds? Or nursing homes? It's still not right, whatever way you slice it.It's still murder, plain and simple.
By the way, there are PLENTY of good people willing to adopt, but government red tape is making it extremely difficult for them. There are PLENTY of homes there.
Who are you to say that killing babies is okay?
Pro-choicers are selfish and donn't want to take resposibility. You just want to get rid of the problem.

My thinking is put all " stupid girls "on birth control.
If you don't want to have a baby don't get pregnant.
Its not a hard one to figure out.
Killing baby's is evil and that is what you are doing.
If its not a baby then you wouldn't need an abortion.
Birth control is very cheap, and easy to come by.
There is no excuse other then rape for an abortion.<><

Amen. Not only that, who is willing to pay for the mothers to go through the pregnancy? In my state, with its extremely low cost of living, it costs an extra $10,000 or so for one mother to have one kid, on top of daily living expenses. Multiply $10,000 by 1 million. Are you ready to pay that? You can say that that is the mother's worry, but if she doesn't have it, it is the child who suffers for the rest of its life. That's not fair, now is it?
