You see no matter who you are as a so called 'athiest' I don't believe you.
Deep in all of us there is a need for unconditional Love. And God is Love.
God - Our Heavenley Father, The Holy Spirit & Jesus Christ, the risen Lord, created this desire, like a vacuum within us.
He knows that man is but nothing & will & is going to perish unless he calls on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And it is a fact that people everywhere who have denounced Jesus, call upon him when thier husband/daughter...is at deaths door or they are facing a major something, they Pray to the one & Only true God
Even the demons tremble at the name of Jesus........

Creationism and intelligent design aren't even Biblical ideas but a creation of American fundamentalists in response to evolution. You don't need to know any science to see that the earth is more than 6000 years old, since even humans have been around long before that. Why is the age of the earth or intelligent design relevant to saving souls, especially when it's not even stated in the bible? Just because you believe in the possibility of a designer doesn't make you saved, because that's pretty much what agnostics believe and why couldn't the designer be a different god. I just hate it when creationists make dumb circular arguments like "if humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys today" or if a house has a designer, then living things must have a designer. Manmade things can't reproduce, so of course they need a designer. A knowledgable Christian would never make an argument like that.

Atheists claim that God does not exist yet when in times of trouble, a dangerous plane flight, a major earthquake or some natural disaster, they start to pray or suddenly 'remember' a powerful higher being exists. Why is that?

People keep asking why there are so many different English translations of the bible, and they have a good point.

I understand literalists believe God made sure the word was perfect and that's why we shouldn't doubt anything, because every word means exactly what God wanted it too. However, the different English translations can convey slightly but still significantly different ideas.

Why would God allow His word to be changed now, but now before?

Too many people believe what experts (bureaucrats, media etc.) tell them without validaiton. And it is not entirely these experts fault, the sheep accept this. This is why we have famine, gneocide, wars etc. The world is "Lead" by self-righteous & self minded people with everyone caught in the corssfire.

From a Muslim standpont this is all unneccessary. The Qur'an delivers detailed ruels of how we can coexist. It starts with looking out for everyone and unconditional respect.

What do you think?

Are we being lead to the slaughter like sheep.

If priests aren't suppossed to get married because it divides their attention from serving God, then doesn't that mean that marriage is a form of imperfection or spiritual weaknes.

I wonder that why Israel is NOT a KINGDOM as it was 3000 years back for less than 100 years during times of David and Solomon? If people think that "current" Israel is fulfilled prophecy then IT SHOULD BE AS BIBLE DESCRIBED otherwise IT IS BLASPHEMOUS TO BIBLE?????

I never believe god's really there protecting us

We are all on our own.

There's only coincidence but myrical.

However, will god still love me if i don't go to church or read bible.

Why do we go to church to praise the god if that's his responsibility to love human he created.

"When I was a child, my speech, feelings, and thinking were all
those of a child; now that I am a man, I have no more use for childish
ways. What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror; then we
shall see face-to-face. What I know now is only partial; then
it will be complete--as complete as God's knowledge of me.
Meanwhile these three remain: faith, hope, and love; and
the greatest of these is Love."

man, i wish i knew how to speak french. thanks in advance :)

specifically do you disagree with? not what people did in the name of marxism of course, but his actual ideal world of no state and people working together and being charitable?(aside from the atheism, which would have been his own personal belief and not mandated) i'm talking about the time of Jesus, not now. they seemed like a pretty marxist group.

I think so. I believe that many believers outwardly enjoy the thought of people agonizing and burning, because it gives you the satisfaction of feeling superior or right. Some of you though, I think do it privately just to be PC.

Actually he commanded it

"Thus says the Lord: 'I will bring evil upon you out of your own house. I will take your wives (plural) while you live to see it, and will give them to your neighbor. He shall lie with your wives in broad daylight. You have done this deed in secret, but I will bring it about in the presence of all Israel, and with the sun looking down.'"
Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." Nathan answered David: "The Lord on his part has forgiven your sin: you shall not die. But since you have utterly spurned the Lord by this deed, the child born to you must surely die." (The child dies seven days later.) 2 Samuel 12:11-14 NAB

"The glory of Israel will fly away like a bird, for your children will die at birth or perish in the womb or never even be conceived. Even if your children do survive to grow up, I will take them from you. It will be a terrible day when I turn away and leave you alone. I have watched Israel become as beautiful and pleasant as Tyre. But now Israel will bring out her children to be slaughtered." O LORD, what should I request for your people? I will ask for wombs that don't give birth and breasts that give no milk. The LORD says, "All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels. The people of Israel are stricken. Their roots are dried up; they will bear no more fruit. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children." (Hosea 9:11-16 NLT)

If God created everything, then why did he create Hell? He knew what it was going to eventually be used for.

Why doesn't he rescue people who are in hell?
Someone makes a mistake, they go to hell, repent, and God (all-forgiving) says, "Sure, up you go."
Now wouldn't that be nice? Or is God sadomasochistic? It would appear so, if he created such a place and is unwilling to do anything about it.
