The ones condoning slavery, selling daughters to men that rape her, murder, stoning of fornicators, adultery, and defiant children, etc. The ones that show God in full force as a cruel, jealous, unforgiving God?

Is everything in the Old testament obsolete or are you just cherry picking what you want to believe?

Being the new testament where God is nice and fluffy?

I am not saying that I believe in creationism or evolution I just want to know if any of you have found anything that is true evidence of evolution?
The fact that i am stating this question does not imply in any way that I believe in creation or God at all I just want to know what you guys think.

in my last question i got some hate, and some cheer.
and some ideas. and some information. and i got 2 answers.
2 people willing to adopt out of 20. (so far.) and one of thoes that admitted that their life was not stable enough to do so yet.

I am actually a mix of pro life and pro choice. Abortion is indeed murder to me. but i realize that not everybody feels that way. and i realize that it is not my right to put my beliefs on them. so what i want now, is your minds.

What do you propose that we can do to lower the ammount of abortions per year. without making it illegal, because at some point it is a nessasary thing.

so what is your plan how do you change things.

and have you actually done anything to start it, or is it just talk?

I never asked to be born, and I certainly never made some pact that if I was to be born I have to become a Christian or I go to hell.

It seems pretty unfair and, selfish, to assume god put us all on this planet only to feed his ego.

almost every single top contributer in the religion and spirituality category supports every right wing conservative christian subject in here? all the jesus is the only way... abortion is always wrong.. if you don't believe in god you're going to hell bible thumpers? no offense, but, they are the ones getting all the best answers, and it seems very narrow minded to me. i AM a christian.. but i think that narrowmindedness seems to be valued here...

what does everyone else think? my guess is, the forementioned parties will disagree.. and any one who doesn't fit in that category will agree with me...

God does nothing to stop the daily murder, rape, torture, and starvation of children all over the earth. Why would he care about your sex life?
And if he does, wouldn't that seem a little odd to you....you know, with all the important stuff going on in the world?

I have tried meditation and use of certain entheogenic substances...both with mixed sucess. I have had a few very deep spiritual experiences...but are there any other ways to connect with the 'god' and the univserse? Ways that are easier than meditation and more legal than substances?

I saw the interview and show on t.v. wednesday night. He even had people tatooing 666 the mark of the beast on their bodies. And he also wears it proudly. All God fearing people should be outraged he's deliberatly collecting souls for satan. It saids in revelation all those who except this mark will be placed into the hell fires with the beast.

Can hear us when we pray to them?? I have had times when i felt REALLY low and i prayed about it......that night or the next day i will have a dream with my grampa or grandma who are passed and i ALWAYS feel better when i wake up.What do you think? I love God with all my heart. I sin alot. I ask him to forgive me, and I can feel that he does. My problem is, I still keep sinning over and over again, knowing that it is wrong. Ex: I will have sex [i really dont] and then I ask him to forgive me and to help me control it, but yet the next day I will do it again. I know that all people sin, but I give in to temptation!
