The religion recorded in my educational records was Indian christian. I want to change it as Hindu. I want to change my religion to Hinduism as I believe in it. I am residing in Andhra Pradesh. Please guide me in this respect.

Why do you want to change the same ?
Do you believe that by becoming an SC/ST you can gain some mileage?
Then why you ? Everybody in this society will try to be the same.
Be happy with what you are and try to stand up with PRIDE for the inherited things.
I do not know your age , religion change is like a sex change , which should be done with a lot of rethinkings.

You can apply to the Educational Department. Till High School, you can approach the State level through your Head Master/Mistress and thereafter with the certificate from the Tahsildar / Village Officer / with parential proof.
Normally, they write the religion that belongs to one's father. Later conversion is possible by registering.

Whatever label you change, your real identity won't change. Then instead of changing records on paper change your life record. Did you understand what I mean? Religion means an individual effort & conduct within oneself with pure heart to experience "Paramaatmaa" the ultimate aim of our life.

Can't you just contact the Registrar's Office in Hyderabad and tell them?

And remember:

Pay no attention to the faults of others,
things done or left undone by others.
Consider only what by oneself is done or left undone.
