I don't mean to be a smart @s$, but maybe the top contributors in the religion and spirituality field and are right wing, shouldn't answer your questions. It's an open form and the questions are directed to all readers holding views on given religious topics. Right? So, you are going to get answers and opinions from many points of view. There is salvation by no other means than Jesus, so why say otherwise? If the feeling that abortion is wrong, why say that it's right? That's like saying that if I feel stealing a car is wrong, why should I say that it's right?

Well,
There is something about truth and wisdom that can't be denied. Christians base their lives and their standards on the Biblical history about God and Jesus Christ.
The Bible, Christianity, is the foundation of this nation and has been to many others. Our laws and our Constitution are based on the Bible, the Ten Commandments. You know, none of us are perfect. We need standards and guidelines, limits and instructions.
Hello, every think that if we throw all these out, we'll be in big trouble. Look what's happened so far. Think about it. Pray about it. Are you so not narrow minded that you'll start playing with fire again?

Many people come here and obviously arent interested in getting a variety of responses. They want to ask their question, get the response that they already know, give ten points to the person who says closest to what they want to hear, and move on.
For example, a question like: "Dont you atheists know youre going to hell?" Obviously the person asking that is more likely to pick "Atheists are stupid and retarded" as best answer instead of a rational, non-provocative answer. Its preaching to the choir, or in this case, asking the choir, when you already know what the answer youre lookin for is.
So in that sense, yes theres alot of narrowmindedness. And I agree about what you said as well, although I think you have to keep in mind that there are quite a few top contributors who dont do that.
It does kinda ruin what a wonderful thing YA is...but what can you do? Everyone has a right to express themselves.

Yes I have notice, but other people are blind. They don't see that evil is what makes you sin. They don't see that everything that is happening now in day, Is was predicted in the Bible. Jesus is the only way! They may go through hard times in there lifes and still don't humble themselves to God.
I am a Christian too, May God bless you sister.

Dear, how can you be a Christian if you don't believe Jesus is the only way?
Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 14:6
How do you interpret this verse?
Perhaps you should worry less about top contributors and read your Bible more.

I can see you are hurting----and I am sorry some of are people are less than tactful to put it mildly.
I can see you do have a lot of pent-up anger and rage. I noticed though you are a Christian and ask you to pray fervently for guidance. Been there----done that-----got the "T-shirt"-----I care about your feelings and hope God will give you the answers you seek soon------I can sense there is some confusion along with the pain-----please pray about this---God Bless you Honey------The Lord Jesus does Love you----and so do I.

An interesting observation, but are you suggesting a conspiracy? I don't think "best answers" are chosen by a secret group who controls who "gets the best answers." It's kind of like saying, "Hey, it rained today, that's not fair!"
Maybe part of the answer is that conservatives have something substantial to say. Or perhaps more conservatives gravitate to this category of questions, along with a sprinkling of people who seem to want to poke fun at Christians or pose seeming unanswerable questions that supposedly prove Christianity bogus (and many such questions are poorly thought out).
But when you say "narrow minded," who are you referring to?

Top contributor goes from one category to another, obviously, because I am very seldom in this category - I spend all my time in Polls and Surveys, but when I go to another category, it still shows top contributor. To make sure, I went to a category I had never been to, answered a question and there was my little orange box. Stupid idea in the first place, lol.

Well if you read my answers I think you will probably say that I am not a fundie nor a Bible thumper.
But I was just thinking that I have seen more top contributorers that are atheist in this section then Christian.
However top contributers has nothing to do with what you believe but how much you have contributed in a particular section.

I think you are reading into it to much. It really shouldn't be any other way now, should it?
You say "I am a Christian" and then bash on those who say Jesus is the only way.....?!?!!?!? What kinda Christian is that? Christian means a follower of Christ. You are very confused it sounds like.
