Yes, I do.

The souls of the righteous are in heaven when they die.

Only the damned sleep in their graves awaiting the final judgment.

I am sorry for your loss.

Only death is the most sure thing which will happen in all the people's life. Something has to be in store for all of us after death. Our mind will not be in peace if we say everything will eventually become nothing. (ie) no future at all. But major religions say that we will all meet each other on the day of Judgement. Today in this materialistic world, people think that everything should have proof. Religion dont have proof and so ignore it. Live as you like and perish when the time comes. This way of thinking itself is against science. Becos today the whole science is based on certain unseen faiths & beliefs. Example, in Maths we assume "Limit tends to infinity" and solve many complex problems. What is this Infinity? No man knows it. SImilarly in Physics we assume a smallest wave particle called "Photon" which dont have any proof for existence physically, then proceed with atomic physics. Without such assumption & faith, physics is meaningless. So faith is not against science, it is a part & basis of science. Likewise we have billions of wonders around us and in our own body to proclaim the existence of God. Belief in such an Entity will only make our actions better, give peace to our mind in spite of so much anxious moments of our life. We cant say that we can believe everything only when we touch, feel, see, hear etc. Using our 6th sense we can see something but infer something else from that.
Till now time is not defined scientifically. We can measure time and know that time will always go forward. There are few theories that time is going forward like how our universe is expanding. Time is a dimension for all measurements. After death this time dimension will not exist for us. We will lay silent in the grave (physically cant be explained becos the dimensions are different, human mind cant perceive that sitution) until the judgement day. To understand this we can consider the conditions when we are all sleeping. We dont know what is happening or how much time we sleep. We lay unconscious. Only after waking up when we see the clock or the sun we know that we have slept for so much time.Death is also similar to sleep, an unconscious stage. After that based on our actions, we will go to Heaven or Hell which will be eternal, means no time dimension.

Yes. If you have never had a spiritual event happen in your life I think that what I have to say will be difficult to believe. But if you did have a spiritual experience, then listen to what I have to say. You would know already.

That spirit is a part of ourselves that when quickened, it does certain things. It can tell you things about yourself -- though not with words (not for me anyways) but with feelings, visions, and with some prophetic things. In my experiences, those things only had to do with me. They had nothing to do with anyone else directly.

Those experiences made me question what the status quo would think and believe. This is a world of see or don't believe. The spiritual world is believe without actually seeing.

So after I had a few such experiences, I knew that there was more to life than what we see, and that meant that my father was wrong, my brothers were for the most part wrong, and all those people who thought that it was a bunch of hogwash were wrong.

What I then had to believe is that I should not allow any doubter to negatively influence my decision not to bury what I knew. Instead, I needed to find out if there was a God or not! And I did find out that there is a God. And He had been leading me to Him all along.

So with that I can tell you with all honesty and certainty, there is an afterlife, and it all will become apparent to you when you experience it.

Jesus Christ is the way to God. And if you know Him, you will do just fine.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Yes, there is most definitely life after death. I know all our loved ones who have moved on to the other side will be waiting for us, and all our beloved pets will be waiting, too. I've always said that death is hard only for those of us left here. People who's bodies have died are living happily on the other side in a perfect world. I know it is so hard for you, and I know you've heard this before, but it does get easier as time goes by. Please find a grief support group, or talk to a counselor. Don't suffer alone. I hope this helps in some way. God Bless!

I am an atheist, and believe in life after death. But, I believe my life will carry on through my children and the people's lives I have touched during my time here. My immortality is through the people left on earth who remember the good things I did.

Other than that, there is no other form of life after death.

For most of history, most civilizations have believed in some form of life after death.

I certainly do

And there are many instances of people believing they have made some contact with people who have passed on - not the medium and seance sort of thing, but a feeling, an aroma, a bit of information - that tied them to the one who was gone.

It simply does not make sense, if (as I also believe) God exists, that human life would simply cease to exist at death. I believe that there is in us something immortal, something that animates the body but that also goes on after the body stops functioning.

What is that life like? I cannot begin to say. But that it is there, I am absolutely sure.

In 1984 I had my chest crushed & according to the doctors & emergency personnel on the scene, was dead for a short time.

All I truly remember was being crushed, not really pain but remember hearing bones break & then a peaceful feeling & total darkness.

When they brought me back those are the things I remember so while I can't say if there is life after death, from my experience there is peace.

Hope this helps a little anyway.

I believe there is life after death, if not by the hand of a god than by the people left behind to carry on in the memory of the person gone.

My condolences, very sorry to hear about your loss.

Yes, I believe in life after death. That very special person is living another life at this very moment. The One who gave them life has made them appear before Him.

Death is very hard on us, it means separation, possibly for a long time. But there is a God, He is Life, and He is good, fair, just, kind, and loving. After we die, we go right to God. To Him, and to the person who just died, death is as nothing, and this life is as a brief dream. Going into the next life is like waking up.

This life is like a gift which God gives to us to use and when we die, we give it back to Him to show Him what we did with it. Depending on what we did with it, depends on what He will do with us after that. We all awake again into our reward.

Yes I do. I am sorry for your loss. Try to find comfort in the fact that this special person is in the loving arms of the Lord. I know you will miss this person and be sad about their going to the other side but they are in a much better place than here.

Dear Mariah,

Yes I believe in life after death.

If you sincerely commit your life to Jesus Christ you will experience eternity with God, experiencing peace, love and joy (you could call that heaven if you wish).

If you knowingly reject the gospel of Christ, you will experience eternity apart from God, experiencing the just consequences of your actions on earth.

I used to ignore the Christian God but over a period of time , I grew convinced of the His existence and ultimately committed my life to Christ .

I am sorry to hear of you special friend's death and hope you find your haven in Jesus.

Best,
Topaz
