No. I believe in God because I love him and believe in Him whole hearted, but I still fear death. When God created us, he instilled in us a will to want to live forever. I never want to die. But I know some day I will. I am not ready to die, because I don't want to leave my family. I Love God, but yes I do fear death.

I used to believe because that's how i was raised. Although i did have some level of fear of death, that isn't why i believed.
My fears also played no part in my inability to continue believing in God and in life after death. I knew that my fears did not determine reality. However i would deal with my fears, it would not be by pretending that what i was afraid of wasn't real. Heaven doesn't just magically exist just because one is afraid of death.

Death is the only thing which is 100% sure in everyone's life. But we dont have any control on it. Like how & when etc. In this modern scientific age if you say all these things(including us) will eventually become nothing. (ie) no life after death, no God etc, I guess a normal mind will not be in peace. For all the human being, right from Bll Gates to a poor man in Africa unexpected things happen during every moments of their life. Believing in God & life after death will help us to overcome any thing that happens in our life which dont have any reason or justification to happen. Whether you fear death or you dont fear it, whether you believe in God or dont believe in God, it all matters & concerns only with you. God dont need our prayers or anything elese from us. It is needed for us to live & die peacefully. A person who murdered one life as well as person like Saddam Hussein who has killed millions of life were put to death only once by Hanging. Death occurs only once. Does you mind accepts this punishment for both the above cases? How do you justify that they will have different consequences at a later stage?? Only by believing in God.

Actually, no. My problem with believing in God is that I'm not afraid of dying. So what next, God?
I mean, the world isn't that hard to handle. So what responsibility does believing confer upon me?
Do I have to convert everyone on Y!A? Because if I do, I need a better computer.
Do I have to rekindle my fear of death? I mean, I've been in hundred mile an hour car accidents, looked down the wrong end of a gun, and spent a few long nights in the emergency ward. And I'm not afraid anymore.
So what responsibility does belief in God confer upon me?

If Christians feared death, then there would be no such thing as a martyr, Paul would have thrown down his ministry, Stephen would have pleaded with his murderers, John the Baptist would not have tolled people to repent, John Huss would not have sang praises to God while being burned at the stake, when soviet soldiers told a group of people to spit on the bible or be shot a girl would not have wiped the spit of those present off of the bible with her HAIR.
Paul declares 1st Corinthians 15:55, O death, where is your sting? O death, where is your victory?
Christians do not fear death!!!

No, I think people who don't believe in God fear death because they think they only have one life to live so they are in a rush to experience as much pleasure as they can get instead of missing out by going to Church.

There is no death. Not really. I knew that I had a spirit before I knew God. So no, it's not that I fear death so much, it's what happens after that that I am concerned about.
EDIT: Well, you asked and I told you. You didn't expect to get this kind of answer? Heh.

Nope. It is wrong to fear anything or anyone but God himself.
I want to live forever too, but God will not make this life last forever, only the next life.
People only fear death for one of two reasons:
1) they don't like the "unknown"
2) they don't want to have to pay for their bad actions.
I believe that both reasons are wrong.
No offense ment.

No, I believe in God because I have felt his presence everyday of my life as long as I can remember. Some people may think I am just deluded, but I feel that we have a relationship and it is the best one I have.
