I'm throwing down the Gauntlet, I need to be convinced that there is anyone who is an athiest.?

Question

You see no matter who you are as a so called 'athiest' I don't believe you.
Deep in all of us there is a need for unconditional Love. And God is Love.
God - Our Heavenley Father, The Holy Spirit & Jesus Christ, the risen Lord, created this desire, like a vacuum within us.
He knows that man is but nothing & will & is going to perish unless he calls on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And it is a fact that people everywhere who have denounced Jesus, call upon him when thier husband/daughter...is at deaths door or they are facing a major something, they Pray to the one & Only true God
Even the demons tremble at the name of Jesus........

I'd love to hear what other Christians think about this too!

I was an Atheist for a long time. I can honestly admit that during that time I did not feel that I needed the love of God. The idea of it made me sick, I was more confident in trusting myself and establishing my own belief structures.

Thankfully, through my search of figuring out why people believe in God I found Him myself. Such an emptiness in ones heart is not known and is actually believed to be normal. It would be similar to one being born in a blind community and being blind all of their life, until one day they can see. I did not know God's love until I found it.

Your ideas are nothing but religious dogma and I must add complete B U L L S H I T! You are generalizing and lumping everyone into being as weak and gulable as those who buy into a God are! NOT EVERYONE WANTS OR NEEDS A GOD TO BEG TO FOR FAVORS!

Considering in all of human history there has not been one single case of this so called God, that YOU CLAIM loves humanity so much, ever once helping anyone! There are children starving EVERYDAY and this God which you claim is so loving and exists NEVER DOES ANYTHING! You bible tells a story of this God feeding jews for fourty years in a desert, A claim which there is absolutely NO EVIDANCE to support! Yet this God can't feed starving children? WHY THE HELL NOT???

Then there are women that are raped everyday. This God has the power to help them. To stop the abuse from occuring. BUT AGAIN THIS GOD DOES NOTHING!

Then there are Priests that molest alter boys. This God could once again do something to protect these children. BUT LIKE ALWAYS THIS GOD DOES NOTHING!

These are only a few examples of ways this God could provide some evidance that it is real. YET THIS GOD DOES NOTHING!

The only logical conclusion is there either is no God which would explain why no God lifts a finger to help anyone. OR this God doesn't give a S H I T about humanity. Either way we are better off concluding there is no God until such time as EVIDANCE proves otherwise!

I would like to start by saying that there is a bigg bigggggg difference in the non belief of a creator and the belief that there was a cataclysm of some sort. So as long as there is a person that is willing to hate someone for their beliefs then i would say that your god does not exist... If you want to make a fit out of it then you are not of god to begin with and as such what is your argument... c'mon tell me is there a reason to actually answer this other than to cater to you bigotry... You should love others instead of spreading hate the way you are...Yeah its a simple thing spread love instead of hate.. try it once. Fear god and me for it is OK to fear what you don't understand... It's O.K. like god i forgive you to a degree. Remember that you should appease your god for this though so you might make the cut and get into "Heaven" it's OK if you don't understand but you should not attempt to "call out" those that you do not get... it is sad in a way... I'm sorry that you are pathetic enough to pick a fight like this... it's OK i might forgive you....

I am an atheist of many years. It does not matter to me what you think of me or that you do not believe me, all that matters is what I believe. And I do not believe in a heaven or a hell, a god or a devil.

I am sure you would want to challenge me on this matter so I will leave you with this to ponder. If your god is all loving and prayer is always the answer tell me this then. In medical miracles why is it always said that prayer was the key. If that is the case, then why doesn't your god listen to the prayers of amputees? Why don't their body parts grow back? Why is it that animals such as starfish or certain insects grow body parts back, but no matter how hard you pray, no matter how strong your faith is, no arm, no leg grows back. Is it that your god hates them, doesn't answer their prayers, or is it in actuality there is no god?

I leave you with that to ponder.

I dont deny the existence of a God - I do believe that a Supreme Being created the universe,

I just refuse to accept that the god of the Bible - the one who was very violent in the OT, and is willing to send people to hell just because they dont accept him - is the same being who created the universe.

Well, you go ahead and keep on believing that if you like. I am an atheist, and proving this to you isn't on my list of things I need to do. What you need to realize it that there are many of us out here who take what you quoted, and you source(yes, the bible) as just a book. It is a good philisophical book, but a book none the less. But, you can believe as you wish, it won't change anything for the rest of us.

And, I'm not wearing any "cotton socks", so I guess the "blessing" must have missed me.

I hate to burst your bubble but no, atheists do not secretly believe in your God, they don't believe in any Gods. I'm no atheist but I can understand this, why can't you? Why are you calling people liars?

Now, I take issue with your claiming that when someone is having hard times or their loved one is dying that they call on your God, Jesus. That's complete bullshit. I'm an Asatruar, I would never and I HAVE never called on your God when I've had loved ones die, or when hard times come. And trust me, I've been though some hard times and not once did I call on Jesus to help me. Why would I? He's not my God and I don't believe in him. I put my faith in my ancestors' Gods, the the Æsir and Vanir.
