Even though I believe in God, it is not hard to imagine that we are all a product of both our environment and our genes. I would not be religious if it were not for factors in my environment which led me there.

We are products of our family of origin, friendships, educational settings, ethnic group, country, religious affiliation,political choices, etc,,,,All of that being our environment......
