History shows that these two holidays are actually Pagan times of solstice, so why do Christians not know this? This is not a question to slander Christianity, so please do not take offense when answering. I am not an Atheist. I am Muslim so I do believe in God just so that all of you know.

Honestly, that's just silly.
Nobody who actually believed such a place existed would really choose to go there.

Here is a question thats been on my mind. If god decides right away if we go to heaven or hell from the moment we die, how is it possible to revive someone that is legally dead within five min, by using the thing that shocks and starts their heart up again. If their was a god, wouldn't it be impossible to revive someone because they would be in heaven or hell right away. If they did go to one of those places, wouldn't that interfere with gods plans.

I am Mormon. I've gotten discriminated against because of this. All people focus on is the things that we did in the past or the things that we used to practice. I don't see anything wrong with us or the choices we make or the way we live. Any opinions from either side?

Didn't God make me perfect the way I am with all that I already need. Can't I overcome my inefficiencies by myself with God. I don't believe in meds, or maybe can't accept it. I believe in myself and trust in God. Screw meds. What do you think Jesus would say?

Atheists, I think we should have a few more questions that we take a swig for.

Why are there still monkeys?
How can atheists be moral?
Can atheists disprove god/s?
Do atheists worship Satan.?

What do think? Any others?

I took it upon myself 2 summer ago to memorize the Qur'an. This did not change my religious beliefs (I am Catholic), but now I am able to, if there is such a situation, quote Qur'anic ayas in both languages to state the point. Some people think that I am mocking both my religion and Islam because I have studied Islam and did not convert. Opinions?

And what are the views of non-Muslims being able to recite the Qur'an? Are there many? Is this considered disrespectful to their religion as well as Isalm?

I have seen some here answer questions about whether or not the bible is accurate or whether or not it ALL was inspired by God, since it was the physical hands of men that actually wrote it. It has also been argued that since the originals are long gone and all we have today are "copies of copies" then mistakes have been made in all the copying. My question is this; If God truly did inspire the writings of the bible books, then could he not have made absolutely sure that ONLY His thoughts were conveyed and then made sure that ONLY His thoughts were copied down through the centuries? Why do so many people seem to think that God inspired the original writings but then failed to make sure the message survived the centuries that have passed since?

For over 17 years I have researched 'anti-truths', what are more commonly known as 'half-truths', discovering in 1994 that the definition of half-truth was incorrect.

You see a half-truth can be many things.

It was defined as a statement that is partially true; ie half true and half false.

Then it dawned on me one day that a half-truth could also be part of the truth, ie half of the truth, or part of the truth, but not the whole truth.

For example, "Stop violence against women' is two half truths.

First it only deals with violence, and not all the other forms of the abuse of women.

Second the slogan ignores the abuse of men and children.

So the statement while true, creates a polarizing lie. It is very, very deceptive.

My thesis is that this is the 'original sin' from the garden of eden, when "Adam and Eve" took of the tree of knowledge and were deceived by Satan to believe they would become like God to know The Truth ?

A few years back, I woke up in the middle of the night crying and confused. I dreamt that something was on the roof of my house and as i was sitting on the couch. What ever it was it was throwing pebbles at the small birds in the yeard to scare them away, probably to get my attention. I finally got so upset that i went out side to the end of the driveway and looked up and saw a big bird like raven with a mans face! I just stood there in shock that maybe it would be satan. As i was standing there thinking about it he flew over to me, looked at me straight in my eyes and his eyes shawn bright blue almost blinded into mine and he soffly said to me, ''Patricia...do u realize taht one day you will be charged''? After he said this I started to cry and i said, ''your not the devil, your an angel!'' and i woke up balling. Was this an angel, a devil or just another dream? Someone please help! Thank you, and God bless!

I see a lot of "christians" claim to know their bible. But they can recite scriptures like nothing, but do they know the real meaning of these scriptures?....It clearly shows through what they say that they don't. Because these "christians" are doing exactly what Jesus preached against.
For example, the trinity. Jesus constantly says that the father and i ARE NOT ONE. He clearly says that Jehovah is greater than he. So why would you sit here and say that they are one?
Other teachings such as life after death the bible does not teach, so where are these false teachings coming from?from people, and it has infected millions.
Its very sad to see these "christians" claiming to know Jesus but they do just the opposite of what he says.
Do you go out and preach? no? well why not? he told us to do so so why aren't you doing it?

So why do "christians" do things/believe that Jehovah God, and Jesus said are false....do you not read the bible? Obviously not

I personally feel that nobody has more knowlege in God than I do. To me, there's no question of the existence of God, I just don't believe many of the teachings of Christianity. For instance, man being created in "his" image? In what way? I really don't think that there's some flesh and bone person that is above all the universe, it seems silly to me. In fact, many of the teachings of the bible seem completely false and misleading. I saw a passage that said something about if a man rapes a 14yr old girl, he has to take her on as a wife as punishment.... You think that's a little outdated folks?

Ok, so I don't use the term believe because that doesn't express my conviction, I KNOW in God just like I know my fingers are typing right now, but if I'm not a christian, than what am I? Mind you, I like attending Christian service, it's where I feel most at home, I just don't beleive everything the bible teaches.

Am I a Christian?

I hope so, because it has never been more clear to me that this earth and man has nothing to offer, nothing of substance, nothing good. Without Jehovah we are headed straight away for destruction. I hope everyone comes to this realization. .
