If I had something you wanted really really bad; something that you longed for, something that you couldn't have.
You envy me for it, and you have a sick feeling in your solar plexus and tenseness.
You would do anything for it. Any chances of getting it leads to palpitations and dizziness due to adreniline rush.

It is something that makes people say "Oh naughty, naughty" and you are siad to feel embarresed by getting it.
It is a forbidden pleasure, but it is not sex or anything rude.

It is the food of the Gods, only for the chosen ones.

It is that thing that someones got, and you were to shy to ask for some as well, fearing embarrasment that you may expose what it is you want.
You should have gone in for the kill when you had the chance. Now it's too late.
You should never ask for it, but be offered it.

Want's some?
You can't have it!

What do you think it is?
Can science find a way to get it? Regardless of the lies that people tell about it being forbidden.

I like to get one coffee a day from Starbucks even though it is so overpriced. Would Jesus frown upon this and say "Hey girlie - you should drink the Tasters Choice Instant Coffee - it was good enough for your mommy." I could get a large QuickCheck coffee for $1.25 so maybe he would not mind that.

Why do we have so many churches nationwide, but we have no unity with each other. Aren't we all on the same mission, which is saving souls?

I am not an overly religious person, do believe in god and lead a good life. I am not very familiar with the bible either. What I would like to know is what religion you are and what are your denominations beliefs on cremation? Is there anything in the bible that says it is wrong?

Some said "God doesn't need us, we need God". This is even more confusing, why would a god that didn't need us create us to need god? Why create something to need you? Sounds incomplete to me.

More specifically why did He create a seemingly otherwise inhabitated infinite universe for us when He could have created us in Heaven to live in His Glory with Him?

Was it so we could love Him honestly, despite the fact we can't talk to Him, see Him, or reach Him. So for us to love Him with no bias He created this large universe, and us in there, maybe because He couldn't trust the angels He created to do His bidding.

Maybe Satan was just the first angel to break away from the consatnt God love session in Heaven, so God was like "I could give anyone free will, and they will always love me." and Satan was like "well not if I sway them away from you with sex, money, drugs, and rock music."

Were we just created so God could prove to Satan that creations with free will would love God. And really who'd be winning that bet.

Hope that all makes sense.

Can you please explain to me why I should accept your religion and disregard all of the other ones? I know this question has been asked nearly 989845784743 times before, and a lot of people are probably reading this and shaking their heads, saying to themselves, "Oh man, not again." But the reason I am bringing it up for the 989845784744th time is that I have yet to see it answered logically and rationally.

So, without further adieu, I will turn the floor over to you, dear reader of my question. Can you answer this question without constructing straw men, appealing to authorities or popularity, begging the question, or resorting to any other fallacies of reasoning?

the building of the tower was thwarted by God who mixed up there languages, thus babble. also babylon, so babel. however, in the dictionary is shows pronunciation as "babe-el" i've heard this preached on many times and have never heard it said like that. thought maybe hebrew/greek interpretation may have something to do with it. any insight would be helpful. thanks.

Some of the world's most infamous people/ organizations are religious, like the KKK (yes, it still exists to a degree. Check out their creepy website.)

The U.S. is another example (sorry to the Americans for whom this does not apply :(). America has one of the highest percentage of Christians, and yet it also has the HIGHEST RATE OF TEEN PREGNANCY IN THE DEVELOPED WORLD.

Also, do not forget that the majority of lynching of African Americans during the 1950's were performed by WHITE CHRISTIANS. Did you know that 15% of the U.S.'s population were a part of the KKK? (5 million)

******Considering this, why do some people ask whether non-religious people have any morals!?!?!

Clearly, there are a quite a few religious icons that have not performed quite up to notch either (Oliver O'Grady, anyone?)

How can Jesus be the "Only Begotten Son" of John 3:16? When in Psalms 2:7 David is God's "Begotten Son?"
Would a 'Just' God, a 'Fair' God, a 'Loving' God -- punish Jesus for the sins of the people that he called to follow him?
What happens to people who died before Jesus came?
What happens to those who never hear this message?
Where did the word trinity come from..There is no word "Trinity" in the Bible in any version of any language??

So when people mention the Big Bang Theory, the main arguement they get is what created the explosion, how did all that matter get there, something can't be created from nothing.

What if it was always there, and the universe is in a infinite cycle of expanding and collapsing. I mean the universe IS expanding right now. So maybe stars start to die out, black holes and vacuums grow until the universe satrts to reverse, and collapse into something so small that it's sheer mass explodes creating a new universe.

Can I prove this, obviously not, but it makes sense, and nowhere in there is God.

Some of that "out of the box" thinking for all you believers.

I really don't know a lot about any church. I did not grow up in church, and started attending a Church of God-Protestant- when I was in High School. Any and all information would be wonderful. Do they pray to Mary? Why? Why is communion given at ever service? How do you become a member of Catholicism? How/when can you become baptised? I'm trying to learn as much as possible. I'm ignorant, so please enlighten me.
