About 3 years ago, I came out of Walgreens and turned the corner and there was a homeless man siding on the ground. He was dirty and wearing a marlboro jacket. He had dirty blonde shoulder length hair and very blue eyes and stubble. Our eyes met and I handed him two dollars as I always give people on the street money when I can as I live in a city with a good number of homeless people and people on drugs and down and out on their luck. Anyway, when I gave him the money he said"bless you" and his pupils in his eyes turned to crosses. Could this be Jesus?????????????And no I do not do drugs or drink and I am not mental. Doesn't Jesus say in the bible that he will send angels disguised to test us. Maybe Jesus just came himself.

Inter-religion marraiges have always been something that have caused me to question this. I ask because I am both Chechen and Catholic (I was born is USA), but almost everybody in my ancestor's country was Muslim. The questions are as follows:

What type of wedding ceremony should there be for people of 2 different religions (where different Christian denominations, Christian/Jewish, Christian/Muslim, Muslim/Jewish, etc)? For some faiths, the difference cannot be recconciled, such as Muslims (a majority of Chechen Muslims as hardline Wahabis) who consider Christians polythiests because we worships the Trinity, and Christians because Jews do not accept Jesus at their Savior?

What religion should the children be brought up? In the cases where religious aspects are completely different, this would be a very strain on the child as the beliefs on one parent totally contradict the other?

Should a person convert to their spouse's religion if they do not believe in it?

Did that include bacteria? Because if it did, Adam and Eve would have been waist deep in sludge in almost no time. And just in case you're thinking about saying that bacteria didn't come about until after the whole eating-of-the-fruit incident, I will point out that not all bacteria are bad; some are even necessary to keep the ecosystem going.

Well since motion is relative, i would say the sun moves around the earth and so does every thing else in space, taking earth as a fixed point of reference. (gotcha there didn't i?) lol

If one feels romantically jealous or sad (the person you are involved with has developed feelings for a second person), how might it be overcome according to Buddhist philosophies?

Are there any techniques, exercises, or changes of mindset that various Buddhist sects would suggest?

To be fully human is to feel all the emotions God has given us.

I remembered that Jesus had instructed us to confront someone who has wronged us( Matt. 18:15.) and that Jesus was expressing anger when he turned over the tables in the temple. It is okay to feel anger and to express it. God just wants us to be careful in how we do it.

Thank you, God for all of the emotions. Please help us to show them in the way that you desire. Amen.

Thank you for your sincere answers...and...
have a good night:)

Is the soul responsible and deserves punishment when the body is more responsible for a crime? I mean If someone is extremely depressed and stressed and does something really stupid which they would not do if the chemicals in the brain were not whacked up. Those who believe in God, can we always blame the soul even when the body is messed up?

I am Chechen, but also Roman Catholic, and some of my Chechen brethren give me a hard time about it saying that "true" Chechens are Muslim. I beg their pardon, but my ancestors aided the mujahideen in years gone by for Chechnya to be free; after all, it is for the people! What is the opinion of Chechen pride from a non-Muslim Chechen, when Chechnya is mainly Muslim (with the people wanting to establish Shariah), and trying to promote Chechnya's independence from a humanitarian perspective, rather than an Islamic one?

What are your thoughts?

2007-03-05 13:50:12 · 6 answers · asked by 2 days after my B day :) 2

The point is that I have been an atheist all my life. Some people have convinced me to believe in God. So, after several weeks analyzing the issue, I decided that God may exist after all and I began believing in him. After a week or so, nothing in my life has changed and I still have no money, no love, nothing. The same loser. How can I know if God actually became aware of my believening in him? Is it possible that he takes a little while to realize of the existence of new believers? Is there anything I should do to espeed up the process of being happy? Take into account that I am still not interested in being happy in the after life only. I want to be happy now and here. Is that possible? Thanks a lot in advance.

If God is omniscient, how can He be upset when you sin? Wouldn't He know that already, and have a plan to deal with that sin?

Just wondering, it's been a question that's been on my mind for a while.
