I am Chechen, but also Roman Catholic, and some of my Chechen brethren give me a hard time about it saying that "true" Chechens are Muslim. I beg their pardon, but my ancestors aided the mujahideen in years gone by for Chechnya to be free; after all, it is for the people! What is the opinion of Chechen pride from a non-Muslim Chechen, when Chechnya is mainly Muslim (with the people wanting to establish Shariah), and trying to promote Chechnya's independence from a humanitarian perspective, rather than an Islamic one?
