I like to get one coffee a day from Starbucks even though it is so overpriced. Would Jesus frown upon this and say "Hey girlie - you should drink the Tasters Choice Instant Coffee - it was good enough for your mommy." I could get a large QuickCheck coffee for $1.25 so maybe he would not mind that.

there is nothing wrong with buying quality tasting food. If you can afford it, then there is no reason not to. Jesus turned the water into wine. Wine is an indulgence.

I doubt the Lord is as concerned where you buy or drink your coffee as much as if you take the opportunity to recognize His gift to you. By "gift" I don't mean expensive or cheap coffee either. I mean the opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee - maybe with another believer - or to carry a conversation that somehow brings glory to the Lord - what ever the subject may be.

Not sure! But I can bet he'd be upset at the Starbucks they have in the lobbies of some of the megachurches. How can that not creep a person out?

not for that reason! haha.. but i am lds, and we don't drink coffee (okay so i still do sometimes.. i love starbucks... call me satan's spawn if you must) because it is really unhealthy for you and basically turns your tummy into leather.. plus its in the word of wisdom.. and you are just suppose to obey god because he knows whats best and well, because he's god... i don't always obey.. but if drinking coffee is my biggest "sin" i don't think i'm going to hell... haha... don't worry.. keep on drinking your starbucks... but really.. it would help your pocket book to not drink starbucks daily.. i did that every day my first semester of college.. man the money i could have saved... you do the math its like five bucks a day!

Are you suggesting that an all-powerful God would be concerned with what type of coffee some girl is drinking while there are other things such as war, disease, poverty, murder, and rape going on in the world?

I don't know if Jesus would frown, but I do. They have the bitterest 'robusta' flavored coffee that I have to drown it in a mocha in order to drink it. BLAHHHH! ( ;

Seneca,
"Hey girlie" Jesus wants you to accept Him as your savior:
Romans 10
I don't know how Jesus feels about coffee or starbucks (He does like people to be good stewards).

As long as it's Fair Trade I don't think Jesus minds where you buy your coffee from.
