If I'm a Christian, is it wrong to have an emo-ish style/appearance? I kinda dress that way, I'm going to get my hair cut in an "emo-ish" fashion, etc. Is that wrong? My parents and pastors and all those peoples are telling me that as a Christian, I should set myself apart in style to have a "godly" appearance. Well, that is kind of hard to do nowadays. Is it wrong to look punk/emo and still be a Christian?

they respond with, "you dont know the bible very well" or "you obviously dont read your bible" or "your taking it out of context" they constantly question your intelligence of the matter.

when the truth is, ive quoted and referenced verses in the bible and still had christians tell me those verses dont exist. ive seen christians thumbs up people who make up verses. and always thumbsdown verses that are in the bible that they dont agree with. (yes obviously some people here are to lazy to look in a bible to double-check these verses).

whos intelligence should really be questioned...?

I don't understand how the church allows gay priests if the Bible clearly says that homosexuality is wrong. That would be like picking and choosing which bits they liked and discarding anything they didn't.

I have never heard of any gay imams- I know you can say not that we know of- but it really doesn't happen because a gay Muslim is not likely to be that religious and if they are they certainly would not be imams, that is because it clearly says in the Quran that it is not allowed., just like it says the same in the Torah, but you don't seem to ever hear about gay imams, I have heard of gay rabbis on the news, but alot about priests.

Then again that would be like a Muslim drinking alcohol and some do, and the Quran saying it is wrong doesn't stop them, but it certainly would not be allowed by any mosque, so how come the church has got so relaxed? I always thought the church bends rules to fit in with the changing society.

even thou we are from same parents Adam and Eve.I watched the movie "Crash" and its so shocking to see the way black people are treated in USA. And still they say We are proud to be AmericansThis thing makes me think what Americans are proud of? is this thing of white and black gonna stay for ever?

how was it a worthy sacrafice? think about it, an immortal (a being who cant die), comes to earth and "dies" only to return to his immortal self. how is that any great feat?
its not like god had anything to lose...

if i couldnt die, id come back to earth just to pretend to die. at least it'd give me something to do with my eternal existance.

Okay we sung this gospel song in choir, I can't remember much of it but I REALLY want to track it down. All i can remember is that there is a soloist most of the time, but then the gospel choir answers with something like the below (I've tried googling it - no joy). This may not be exact, but its as near as I can remember. Its the chorus;

"I give you thanks,
Because I wanna give you thanks,
Oh! I give you thanks,
Because I ought to give you thanks,
Oh! I give you thanks,
(Repeat many times - etc)
For who you are and what you've done..."


And then later it says something about "Magnify" which then leads back into that chorus as above.

Please help?

Why do you steryotype Jesus as a stiff all-or-nothing kind of guy? Doesnt it say that he played in the dust (when questioned by the crowds he drew in the dirt with his finger) and grew up as a child? Come on guys dont you think he EVER laughed? Why couldn't he just be a fun guy to be around?

PLEASE no answers like: "God doesnt exist... its just a story... your stupid." or whatever you can think of like that... just answer the question.

If Christians are really as concerned about other people souls as they claim they are shouldn’t they be willing to go to hell so some one can go to heaven? Or do they stop worry about other souls once they make it into heaven?

2. Why does he tell his disciples to call God "Our father" if only he is the son of God?
