ADDED: to all those who say that I should believe in hell...I'm methodist, we don't preach about hell, we preach about casseroles.

Take the job. You need the money, and it may be good for you to make your faith stronger.

It may be fun, but it will also be very hard. You may get the money, but you may not have time to spend it. You see, it is not loving kids that is the only requirment. You need to realize that you are an example to those children. They will be watching your every move. If you are prepared for that, then do it.

Know this, it isn't about what ability you have, it's about how much faith you have in God. How willing are you to let him use you? Being a children's minister isn't easy. Just realize that if you do this job. Lead by example and be careful because kids do follow your example if they view you as a leader.

If your church doesn't preach about Hell, I hope they preach about salvation then. Hell is very, very real. If you don't believe there's a Hell, then where do you think the people that reject Jesus go when they die? First of all, you shouldn't be a minister as you're a lady and the Bible states ministers are to be men only. Second, you can volunteer to help out with that ministry if you love children and think it will be fun. There are lots of ministries in church a lady can be invovled in that will help your faith grow.

Take the job and teach it as best you understand it. The kids will probably like you, and nothing improves one's understanding of something like teaching it. You might find a truer appreciation for it, and don't forget that faith, like all things, is taught differently to children than it is to adults. Sadly, most people of faith stop learning at that child's level. Look at the South, and the Middle East.

You don't believe in hell? why the heck not? Do you believe in Jesus, do you believe he was perfect? if you do, then you would believe in hell. if you don't, then you're definitly not the right person to be heading up a childrens ministry. no doubt most of the people in the church DO believe in hell, and wouldn't be too happy if you're telling them otherwise.

you wouldn't go to hell just for taking a job though, so whatever.

It's never to late to start building up your faith.

"Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God."
Rom. 10:17.

And the great thing about studying God's word is that you will find out that hell is the grave.

Then why do you go to church if you don't believe in what they teach? Would they even consider you for the job of a theology teacher to kids if you teach something totally different than the church does?

no, you will only go to hell if you don't teach them to stop believing in a fairy tale and accepting it as fact.

If they understand the difference between faith and proof yet want to continue to believe it then that is thier choice so long as they don't push it on others.

Well, you are probably more qualified than a pedophile priest so go for the job.
