The mention of the sea dragon is a prophecy in Isaiah and the flood happened in Genesis.

Isaiah 27:1
In that day the LORD will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.

It was because (insert metaphor/allegory here) of this.

well, if the sea dragon, taking this literally, could have perished when the climate changed after the Flood, or it could be still alive, retreated to the depths of the sea.

but it could also be a metaphor for Satan.

i also agree, though, that there is no mention of killing by drowning in that passage.

it doesn't even mention the flood in that verse... but God holds the power to do anything, if He wanted to drown a sea dragon, He could, and I'd bet my life on it.

Where does this passage say anything about a flood? I see a sword, but not a flood.

I don't think this has happened yet. It is yet to happen in the future.

Leviathan = Serpent = Dragon = Satan...and he will be killed. And you can take that to the bank!

Very carefully -- how else?

Isaiah does not mention the flood. You are mixing up your Bibical stories.
