Why do you steryotype Jesus as a stiff all-or-nothing kind of guy? Doesnt it say that he played in the dust (when questioned by the crowds he drew in the dirt with his finger) and grew up as a child? Come on guys dont you think he EVER laughed? Why couldn't he just be a fun guy to be around?

PLEASE no answers like: "God doesnt exist... its just a story... your stupid." or whatever you can think of like that... just answer the question.

I don't believe Jesus was a stiff-hard-to-be-around person. If He wasn't interesting do you really think He'd have crowds of people following Him everywhere He went. I'm sure He had fun, besides He loves kids :) of course His main reason for coming to earth was to be a Saviour to all of us, but I'm sure He did other things while growing up that other kids did, it's just that He didn't misbehave and was perfect.

I don't stereotype Jesus like that at all. I do think he was a laid back person but he was serious about his spirituality. I am much the same way actually. I think he was very loving and very kind. Yes, I do think he laughed, and if you read the gospels closely enough, you can see where he may have done it. There are many times he says to his disciples, "don't you get it yet?" I can just picture him shaking his head and laughing to himself at the ignorance of his own followers. Sometimes, I think he still does it today.

Besides, Christ cried, why couldn't he also laugh?

Of course He was fun to be around. He drew crowds everywhere He went, of people just wanting to be close to Him. He was constantly invited to people's homes. He held little children on His lap. He went to at least one party- the wedding feast where He turned the water to wine. Clearly people were relaxed around Him and enjoyed being with Him. I don't think the adjective "stiff" applies.

People project all kinds of nonsense. I'm sure he was an amazing guy, not some bambi eyes droopy dope like the paintings make him out to be.

Jesus never used the word sometimes, or maybe. It has to be one way or the other. Thats just the way he is. To assume he did not do human things is also wrong.
Jesus wept -John 11:35.
He was a man, just a divine one.

That was a point of serious argument back in the Dark Ages - whether or not Jesus ever laughed. Personally, I say if he was indeed human, how could he not have laughed? Or cried? Or had sex? Etc.

Jesus Christ was the most congenial person to walk this earth!! Children wanted to sit on His lap. Sinners and tax men wanted to be around Him! He laughed & cried, He showed love and mercy & got angry, He ran the whole gamut of emotions, and was in control of them. Who wouldn't want to get to know someone like that.

Actually so historians suggest that since Jesus was fully god and fully human that he lived his life like a human. Like Jesus married Mary Magdelen *I know I spelt that wrong* and had kids.

Well let's see. An unmarried guy hanging around with 12 other guys and even kissing them on occasions. I know what kind of guy that makes me think he is.
