Ok, since we are asking un-answerable questions, I am gonna throw some out.

May 18, 1980, the eruption of mount St. Helen. Lava Dome dated by radio-metric @ 2.8 million years. This is just one example; please do not quote me radio-carbon dating's on fossils, and the like.

You may interpret the fossil record in your favor, but only if you totally dis-regard the effects that a world-wide flood would have upon the earth. This flood was not believed to have happened by secular scientists until very recently, and even now they fail to consider it when formulating "opinions" based upon geological evidence. They will say it happened millions of years ago. Why? Because that is the only way it can fit into their mold.

One foundation of evolution is survival of the fittest. Why then, are the 20 foot sloths and the wooly mammoth's dead and the modern day elephants and much smaller sloths here? Did they evolve down? Doesn't make alot of sense...

The definition of gay is:
1 a : happily excited : MERRY b : keenly alive and exuberant : having or inducing high spirits
2 a : BRIGHT, LIVELY b : brilliant in color
3 : given to social pleasures; also : LICENTIOUS

All of these are stereotypes of homosexuals. My question is: Why does the homosexual community define themselves as gay? And does this hurt the homosexual community?

Who decided "gay" was good? Why not ******? The definition of ****** is: 1. A bundle of twigs, sticks, or branches bound together.
2. A bundle of pieces of iron or steel to be welded or hammered into bars.

The term "******" comes from the times when homosexuals were burned like a bundle of twigs.

How is this any worse than "gay”?

Why not fairy?

I would really like some constructive feedback from both homosexuals and heterosexuals (not straights because that implies that homosexuals are crooked).

Do the labels we give ourselves affect how people perceive us?

And is Homosexual better

You see the reason why I ask is because God is known to be a spirit. Did he specially design Mary to be his mother. Did Jesus Sin at all did he feel what will feel and fight the tempations that we as humans do. Was God here when the dinosuars were here and why can the find bones and other factors to present to you that they were here before. I have not yet saw a piece of clothing or bones to show me that this really took place. We have various of races in the world. where did all the color come in at. Religion is various from coast to coast but everybody believes that there is a higher power , but who's right?

Won't it get kinda boring if we're in a constant state of euphoria where nothing ever goes wrong and there's never a down side to anything? Just think...there'll be no need for Answers coz everybody will know everything and there'll be nothing new to learn. Who could live ( or exist ) that way?

A.)You can give the world the ability to cure every single disease and destroy every single virus that will ever exist for the rest of eternity, but when you die you simply cease to exist. (You do not go to heaven, and you do not go to hell, when you die that is it, GAME OVER)
B)You cure nothing, but when you die you go to heaven

(Please no lame answers such as: "If I cure everything then I will go to heaven", or "I am going to heaven anyway"....All you have to do is select A or B.

It makes me feel funny...when church asks for money so much. The first church I went to...took up the collection place 4 times!!! building fund, love offering, tithes and offerings, and then something else, i forget. it makes me feel very....i can't find a word that describe it. Does anyone else see this too? I mean, I know offering is important...otherwise how can the church be ran...but preachers seem to be so fake when they ask for money. it makes me think they got in the business just to get tax-free money. and if that is true...they are misleading a lot of people because their faith is not true.

Check out this link http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=54260 about some recent cases internationally, where people have been indicted for criticizing Islam, or for criticizing abortion.

So, do you feel that we should pass a "hate crimes" law? Christians, how do you feel knowing that you could be put in jail just for reading the bible, and agreeing that sex outside of marriage is sin?

I was told this argument by those that believe in intelligent design. Scientists claim that life began from amino acids. Yet as of date no one has been able to create life from the ground up: Combining chemicals to make a cell. They say that argue then that the statement “life can emerge spontaneously” is without merit. Has anyone been able to create life from the ground up as of today (Please attach proof)? What type of damage would this bring to the evolutionary arguement if they have not, and the creationist arguement if they have?

I've been a member here for about 6 months.
During that time I have taken part in some interesting discussions, had a laugh, and been able to help with a few problems.
Just recently the balance of the forum has changed, it seems to me.
People are castigated for treating serious subjects seriously, for having some understanding of grammar and for being able to spell.
The points system has come to mean answering everything, no matter how, if you'll forgive the pun, pointlessly, just to get points. This means that genuine answers become swamped and can be lost.
Inter-faith bickering aside it has always seemed wrong to me when genuinely spiritual people are mocked - and that's getting worse. To the degree that now an attack has been posted on spiritual seekers in general. (Which seems sad because the genuinely spiritual of ALL faiths get along together just fine).
So now I ask, is it time for me to go?
Hmmm.
Yes, it's time for me to go!
But let's end with a question mark. ?

Do they deserve to burn in hell till eternity simply for not believing in jesus? does it bother you, that innocent loving people are doomed like that simply for not knowing which was the true path to god? (actually this question goes for any follower of a hell including faith)

We are all gods, divine in our own being. We are extensions of God himself. I believe that we are all sent here in his image to experience the whole. How can you know yourself if you have nothing/noone to compare it to? Take a cake for example. When you slice a cake, can you say that the smaller slice is not as perfect compared to the whole? Indeed the answer to that is No.

We are all one. There is only one of us in the room. Therefore bless your enemies, for they help define you. Through them, we can see ourselves as being nice, mean, selfish, rude, etc. Every act is an act of self definition. If they do not exist, we cannot see ourselves. If you were God, how did you know you exist if you have nothing to compare yourself to? Hence the realm of the relative (earth) was created. Just to know and experience himself/herself/itself again. I see the divine in me when I look at you. God bless.

Much love from Malaysia.

Cheerios.

I am worried. I dont know if it is more rewarding to do good all my life and like the results after I die. Or try and get as high happiness I can get without worrying about morals. I am to a point in my life where, I act so nice that I am thought of as a nerd or whatever. Which maybe girls dont like which takes girls out of my life. I guess that is not the worst thing. And friends I might act a little to nice for most people. I want to go to and endless haven. I am so deeply inspired to do good. But I hear this talk of life being all you have. I wouldnt want to waste all I have(this life) doing good for others at the expense of my own hapiness. I am confused.

For whatever reason we exist on this earth, with pain, suffering, good and evil people, with doubt, and such a diversity of beliefs, etc., ...what does this have to do with the existence of God? Could there be some eternal reason for God to let it all happen?
