For whatever reason we exist on this earth, with pain, suffering, good and evil people, with doubt, and such a diversity of beliefs, etc., ...what does this have to do with the existence of God? Could there be some eternal reason for God to let it all happen?

If anything, they point to the fact there is NO god.

We hear questions like this a lot here. I'm wondering if people like you who write this type of question really believe in God?

God has given us all a valuable gift. The right to choose. Many of us choose poorly.

When it comes to pain and suffering, you should be thinking Satan not God. God did not want any of this to happen, but because of the decisions that were made in the First Earth/Heaven Age we must suffer them.

My advise to you is this. Let God be God over you and all that Satan has to offer will not be able to affect you.><>

Depends on your point of view. I can certainly see how some pain and suffering are necessary. A kid going to college should have to struggle for his or her degree. That seems reasonable.

On the other hand - a baby born with cancer doesn't seem right.

I would suggest that anybody who allowed a baby to die a horrible, painful death when it was within that person's power to easily prevent it ... is evil. Therefore, I don't believe that there could be a god because there are things that happen that should not be permitted.

Pain, suffering and host of good and evil interactions are due to ignorance of our true identity. We falsely believe something we are not. For as long as our mind is constantly conditioned of our limited physical body than the unlimited potential of our spirit, we tend to equate our instinctive qualities to that of the body.

Example: We will die if we are not going to do anything to survive. Will we die or will our body die? We tend to think and identify ourselves with the physical body, thereby all our thoughts and consequent actions(power, wealth, fame) to protect our false identity resulted to pain and sufferings.

Could there be some eternal reason for God to let it all happen? Affirmative. Our flesh teaches us valuable lessons by temporarily encasing our spirit and become what we are not( opposite) to appreciate through pain and sufferings what we are and rejoin the creator bringing wealth of knowledge and wisdom. The cycle starts from being innocent to ignorant then finally to being wise.

Ok, first of all, have you ever seen the movie patch adams? Patch put it on point when he said the we are born, we experience enormous amounts of pain, and then we die. Thats life, bro. there is no god. And if there was, we have already experienced The End of Times and we are in hell. Have a good life....and make the most of it!

It is often in times of pain and suffering that I turn to God. In my experience, when everything is going well, I tend to forget God, I tend to forget Who it was that blessed me. But when I experience pain, suddenly I remember my Heavenly Father, and run for my Daddy's arms. God does not desire pain and suffering for us, but He uses even that for His eternal glory.

Yes the eternal reason is to sharpen us to the perfect level so that in the end we can come out of all problems as a shining star full of energy and enthusiasm. This is how life goes on.

God is love - pure and simple. Evil causes all the chaos and blames everything on God.

Pain and death came about because of the sin commited by Adam and Eve.And it exists today because there are things we learn going thru the trials of life from pain and death and bad things. It is all part of God's plan

first i don't believe in god so it has nothing to do with it in my view
the laws of nature and how one deals with them usually determine the pain and suffering we endure at least to a point.
