Do they deserve to burn in hell till eternity simply for not believing in jesus? does it bother you, that innocent loving people are doomed like that simply for not knowing which was the true path to god? (actually this question goes for any follower of a hell including faith)

God has revealed the truth to mankind. It is up to us to accept the truth or not.
Have you noticed how other religions know about Christianity? They know what Christians believe and they deny the truth.
We send ourselves to hell when we choose not to follow Jesus.
On the last day noone will be without an excuse.

I think that everyone will be judged for the person they are, not for what religion you were. There are great people in every religion. Just because you aren't a believer in Christianity, doesn't mean you go right to hell. If you believe something different then that, and live what you believe, then you have the right to be judged by that. There is always someone willing to tell you that you are wrong for what you believe. I'm told over and over on here that what I believe is wrong, even though I am christian. They say I'm not because I don't believe the exact same thing as most of the christian sects.

I've said this before, but I'll repeat it for you. Everyone needs to understand that just because you may not believe the same thing as they do doesn't make you wrong. There are reasons that everyone doesn't believe the same thing, and that doesn't make us wrong, or evil for not believing the exact same thing as they do. Most people just can't see that there may be things outside their own box that could be right.

There are people in this world who will never hear of Christ, never get a chance to read the bible, or hear anything about things like this. I don't think that any loving God, no matter what god it is that you believe in, would have all those people go to hell just because they haven't had a chance to hear about Christ. That wouldn't be loving. You can believe what you want, I just ask that others show me some respect when I talk about my religion. I try to show the same courtesy to them.

There are good people with integrity and high standards throughout the world, yes. I believe God has a plan for all to learn about the mission and Atonement of Jesus Christ, even if it's not in this life. No one is going to be sent to hell until they have had a true chance to hear the Gospel for themselves in a manner that they can understand, and then they would have to utterly reject it and also deliberately choose to follow Satan, so there is more to it than meets the eye.

Ofcourse there are good people in many religions. When God said He would come back for His children, He didn't specify a religion. And no, I don't think it's unfair for anybody to burn in hell because EVERYBODY one way or another got or will get the chance to choose their path. That is why God is taking His time in coming back, because He wants everybody to get a chance to know Him and choose the right path. So no matter how "innocent" or "loving" a person is, they have got to make a choice. As simple as that. Although I really don't see why anybody would choose anything else....

I knew it.

When I first read this question, I thought, watch... Christians are gonna say yeah, there may be good people of other religions, but in the end they're going to hell.

I knew it, there are several closed minds here.

To answer your question, first I'll say that I used to be a Christian but am no longer one. I'm a Baha'i, converted in 2000, and it was the BEST thing I ever did! Anyway, to answer your question from a Baha'i standpoint, I'd say yes, there are good people from more than other religions, there are good people from ALL religions, even good people from no religion. Baha'is don't believe in hellfire. In the Baha'i Faith, heaven is closeness to God, and hell is remoteness from God. There isn't the literal fire & brimstone baloney. After this life, the soul keeps progressing, and our spiritual state there depends upon how we cultivate it here. AND, it can keep on developing.

The more we cultivate it here, the better equipped we'll be when we arrive there. Know that the spirit isn't at a stalemate once we're there, it evolves for eternity. But still, better to be more evolved upon entry, right? It's like the womb... we develop arms and legs and everything else in the womb, even though while in the womb we don't need it. However, once we leave the womb and enter this world, we do need it. The better these things are developed in the womb, the better we will have it once we're born.

Anyway, I could go on, but yes, there are good people from all religions, even from no religion.

"There is a way that seem right to a man but the end thereof is destruction."

There is no doubt that there are many wonderful souls in many other religeons. Absolutely. One desn't go to hell because of not knowing Christ. He goes to hell if he's been introduced to the Gospel and rejected it. The Gospel is all about having the humility to recognize that you're not perfect and you need a savior. If on the day of judgement, you stand before God and say, "I think I was a pretty good person", you're puttng your faith in your own good works and that aint gonna cut it. No, the Christian understnads that its not by works that we are saved but thru grace; that is, trusting that Jesus's sacrafice was the once and for all time payment for sins. By humbling yourself and trusting in him, you are saved. Now if you've never been introduced to the Gospel, then all bets are off. God isn't looking for a reason to punish you. He's provided a means to save you already. You just have to accept it.

i am a christian and yes there are wonderful people out there that hasnt accepted the Lord,i think that is what we are trying to do is pray and try to let them know about God and His kingdom, the thought of anyone burning is a horrible one i could never dislike someone enough that i would want that for them there is no insult or anything of the nature that would cause me to wish that on anyone,i know and think my fellow christians are trying to do the best we can to show them that God loves and wants the best for them

Uh.... I'm Christian, and my perception of God is that He is loving, kind, merciful and WANTS us to be able to return to Him... yes, in Heaven-- He's just looking for chanced to help us, teach us, guide us, forgive us, save us...

Where is the mercy in damning people who never had the chance to hear of Jesus?

Where is the mercy in sending infants to "purgatory" who are unable to understand what sin even is?

Where is the mercy in sending someone to hell simply because they were raised differently?

It is hard enough being a good person as a Christian. In fact it is just about a never ending battle as a Christian. Without Christ I doubt it very much if a person is concerned with being good.

it is'nt right to say that one's religion is great. The fact is different people have faith in different things. But it does not mean that everyone would follow one religion. For eg. Hindus believe in Hinduism. It is not good to say that Jesus is the only path to heaven (Swarga). It is one's karma (good or bad doings) that guides one to hell(naraka) or heaven.
