however I dont believe people speak the truth when they say it is religion, the most religious people who are righteous are healthy.

I believe it is chemical poisoning, Methamphetamine = sorcery.

What if you woke up and the world had ended. Low and behold it turns out that God does exist. Right next to you, in the Hell line, you notice a bunch of Yahoo answer participants, who had lost faith as a result of some of your posts? What would you say to them?

First of all, I am an agnostic and have written many posts that aren't very helpful in building Faith, but am interested in how others feel about it.

I am sure I will get the obligitory, "God isn't real, so it doesn't matter" answers, but a well thought out response would be cool.

I find myself less and less itnerested in choosing a best answer. But I'm wondering if it is considered poor form to never do so. What are your thoughts?

You would sell your soul for eternity by rejecting the truth of Jesus Christ? Of course we would not sell our eye! It is precious to us- and so should be the gospel of Jesus! I would never sell my soul or reject Him, He is far more precious than BOTH my eyes! And it is HE who gave me my eyes!

Some Christians object to using the letter "X" instead of "Christ" in words like "Xmas" + "Xian." They say it is an effort to "Cross Christ out." They might have a point if this was a something new, but they themselves started it thousands of years ago. The word "Christ" is the English translation of the Greek "Christos." The early Greek Christians started using "short hand" for various Nomina Sacra (Sacred Names) including one for Christos (XY with a line drawn over the two letters.) A similiar use of "Xt and "XP"" to denote Christ was used by the Roman Catholic Church as early as 1000 CE, and we see the same idea in the labarum symbol (A capital "P" crossed with a small "X"). With typewriters and computers, many use similiar short hand. Rather than typing "Christ" which requires a key shift, then alternating hands for each letter, they use a single "X." Complaining about something they themselves started is a bit illogical and denies the history of their faith.

For example, people are made out of dirt and come to life when Zeus breathes life into their form. The Nephilim in the flood story sound an awful lot like the Titans in Greek Myth. Any thoughts on this similarity? Can you think of any examples where a story in the bible parallels a story from the ancient Greek religion?

I had a car crash and I was drunk and I think I saw God and I have to join a religion. I asked you guys what ones to go to and I am trying the church out of town. I have to walk because cops took my license and it's long way away. I got a ride with some guy to the church --I don't remember what it is, but not christian and not catholic but starts with P and had cross..

They told me I couldn't come in because I hit a lot of people and the families were there and I hit a lot of stores and cars when the cops chased me, and said I was drunk, but I'm NOT DRUNK NOW! I saw God after i crashed up the cars and anyways they said if I drink or do anymore drugs I'll go back to jail.

They locked the doors and I say why are you locking the doors, if you're going to be this way I'm dont care. I'm back at the library now, and I can take out hindu book with the pictures but its stupid and i like it but theres no god in it I don't think.

islam and jew books i can't take out. can take out hindu

then how come the bible says that there were Nephilim on the earth before .............. and after the flood? Shouldn't the flood have killed them all? And I don't believe Noah's family were Nephilim or there would have been only Nephilim after the flood and the bible would have told us if Noah's family were Nephilim.

Over the last year or so I have been very interested in Islam and I think I have approached the subject with an open mind. I am a Scotsman, and a Protestant.

Let me say from the outset that I have always had a sneaking admiration for the way Islamic cultures treat their women.

But I now find that I am ALSO aligned with Islamic thought on money lending, the decline of moral standards in Western society, and homosexual deviancy too.

So surely the presence of Islam in Britain can only be a good thing, if it helps to stop our present decline?

What makes you believe in your religion? Is it that it's so believeable or is it just that you were born and raised to believe it and you were therefore conditioned into thinking it was right? It's one or the other, people.
