Prayer is a beautiful gift. And regardless of what god or religion you believe in prayer is welcome to anyone who needs it. I recently had a very dear family member in a comma, and all my friends prayed for him. We are roman catholic, but my friends vary from muslim, mormom, buddhist, jewish, christian and even pagan. I believe that even thought we all have a "different God" all the prayers were still heard and answered. My Cousin was taken off life support, we were all devastated because the doctors said he would only surive a few hours once he was unplugged. But thanks to all our prayers he woke up from the comma 2 days later. I love all my friends for their thoughts and prayers, it goes to show that who you pray to doesn't matter. All that matters is that you have faith.

I think in a way it does. As an agnostic Jew, I am specifically unsure of whether the western God exists. I am unsure of whether Zeus exists, but in a less personal way. Did that make ANY sense???
And I appreciate your efforts in not praying for me. To return the favor, I will promise not to try and convert you, or to put any religious symbolism I am unsure of in your children's schools. Wouldn't it be nice if the Intelligent Design people could do this???

Well, I'm not one for public prayer requests, and I am a pretty devout Christian.
That said, I don't care who or what you pray to, because I believe all roads lead home, and if your intentions and your exercise is sincere, that compassion is a gift from God, and is taken in the same sincere manner.
So, the short answer from me is, no, I don't care, and I do appreciate the gesture! :-)
Peace.

No. I personally don't believe in God, so I don't really have that much of a preference which one you don't pray to.

Not to me, I'm collecting the whole set! Just two more Vishnu's and I've got the Hindu thing covered!!!!! It's the obscure ones that are hard to get these days, water worship from Iraq is almost impossible because of attrition and Hopi medicine prayers are as rare as hens teeth, but hope springs eternal. Whatever you can spare, and thanks!!!!

You can pray to whomever you like, for whatever you like.
If I do not believe in your god or gods, it should not affect me.
Right?
