i first must know, do christians deny that the old testiment is true? which ones do? what reasons do have to belive that the new one is true but not the old one? and finally, what makes them think
the current testiment will not one day be the old, if it was tossed out and replaced that would mean it was heavily changed and flawed, so everything your doing now based on the bible would be meaningless?

is it wierd that when i looked up at the screen after i typed "canged and flawed", it said i had 666 characters to work with? i swear it did, you could actually count it out if you wanted.

"Just recently my son Bobby came out to me. I had been worried for awhile. His teachers said most of his grades were slipping and he seemed depressed and withdrawn.

Bobby said he'd been hiding it for awhile because he was afraid I would reject him. I sat him down and told him that I loved him and that God loved him, but that his salvation was in danger if he did not resist his unnatural tempations. I told him how being gay would mean he would live a shorter life, and that if he couldnt change his orientation he could be celibate like most the ex-gays are. He started crying saying something along the lines of "I knew you wouldnt understand! You're just like everyone else!" before running to his room and slamming the door.

This only started off as an answer to someone elses question but it kinda evolved into a question of my own;

I'm a catholic who lost the faith a long time ago. I have thought long and hard about re-finding religion, but all the events in my life, whether tragic or exhilarating, have never inspired me to give due thought and acceptance to the fact that religion is nothing more than an over-cooked conspiracy...I am not an Atheist, but i have a lot of unanswered questions.

How does a proven and totally logical explaination to our existence like evolution get over-looked and nay-sayed, just because it doesnt co-enside with the story of Christ?

If God's design for humans and humankind so idealogically perfect, why has man been correct and improving this for centuarys.

And the age old question: Why do bad things happen to good peope?

I could go on...

P.S The Church and its foundation is one of the biggest recievers of untaxed donations in in world

if we will be reading the Bible at Matt.24:31 i'll translate it in our own language ,Ok? i am asking this because John in the Apocalypses says that
people will be forced to have a scar on their hands but people shouldnt do it as it will be the sign of the antichrist
and when the judgement day comes people with this scar will go to hell

may people believe that this scar mentioned in the Apocalypse is this chip that after a few years people will be asked to have installed

what is your opinion?

Some say, Heaven is waiting for the good and/or believers & Hell for the Bad and/or non believers
My believe there is an afterlife we goto that has many different levels, you start off at level one, your born, once you get through that life & you've learnt your lessons you die & go to level two and then get reborn & so on, each life you have gets harder, you have harder obstacles, you carry on going all the way to the top where you then become a Guardian Angel, by this time you have been through everything, loss of loved ones, children, Murder Victim, Murderer, Nun, Pimp, Nurse, Prostitute, Doctor to Dustman, you've been the bully and been the bullied, everything good and everything bad. This is when you become an angelas you know the right thing to do in EVERY situation, you are truly qualified to guide others. If you end your life you stay on the same level. The harder life gets, the closer you are to being an angel ... it helps me sleep at night x

If your relgion is not nice, unfair, sexist why not just quit?


Like if you started a job & they mistreated a group of people.


Ie islam...

Has one set of rules for girls, the other for guys.


The rules against the girls restrict them doing theings the boys have no problems with.


ie dress code... no rules for the guys, covering the face... why dont the guys?

In many islamic countries the girls are not even allowed to drive, or walk around without a husband, brother or father...


How unfair is that?

As for sex...


How come a woman is not allowed 4 husbands? if a guy can have four wives?

Plus are not parents using some rediculous notion of family honour no different to pimps as they tell you who you cann and cannot sleep with or date to.


And Christianity. Why be part of something which would not let girls be in the top job. That does not have words like ****, whore, slapper etc for guys that sleep around. With its child and girl abuse record

I am starting to get sick of the many Christians out there that think Jesus will come back tomorrow. I believe Jesus will come back within 200 years, but I believe not in this generation. So all this stuff about Christians having to go through the tribulation, It will not worry me because I will not be here on this earth in 200 years, as hopefully I will be in Heaven. You Christians will not be here in 200 years either. So Christians that means we will not have to go through the tribulation period. Thank Goodness. Yes the time is getting closer with each day, but the time for Jesus to come is not yet. If it was Jesus would have returned already. A lot of prophecy has not even be fullfield yet, like the temple rebuilt. The Jews are not allowed to build where they want to build. Plus The two witness's are not even down on the earth yet. The end times have not even begun yet. Where is the antichrist? He has not even come out yet, as he may not even be born yet.

Because it was originaly theirs,then shouldnt america be given back to the nativve americans,and africa to the blacks,and australia to the mouris?And if your reason is that it was appointed to them by god them bear in mind 2 things. this is purely theoretical, and i don't think either side will ever happen, but imagine it does:
if you believe exclusively in creationism, and you were suddenly faced with indisputable fact that evolution is 100% true, what would be your reaction? how would this change your life?

and inversely, if you are an evolutionist, and it was proven beyond a doubt that creation was 100% fact, how would you react?

please, only true intelligent answers. no one wants to hear your uneducated cow patties.

i am asking this because in my country in the old identity cards ( that many people still have) the religion one has is written
but in the new identity cards it is not allowed the religion to be written
and that fact caused major protests of people who wanted it to be written on their identity card

When they say that the bible is "God's living word" incapable of being edited, added to, subtracted from or changed in any way? Wouldn't that make all versions of the bible identical?
