Hi, I'm a Spirit filled Christian and I strongly believe in those listed above. In fact I know that they are real. Some of you out there most likely disagree, or don't even know who I'm talking about. So I'm tossing out a line to fish for information. I want to know how many do not understand who these are. I want to know how strong some of you are in faith. Thanks....inspire me! Preach it!

I came to a pentecostal type church four years ago from the brethren (very strict, have to wear hats, women not allowed to speak in meetings) and I really want to speak in tongues because my boyfriend told me, it takes you on a different dimension with God...it would be an amazing way to worship. My pastor said that everybody should have tongues as its one of the small gifts...I want it but I don't have it so therefore its not one that God wants to give me, one that's not applicable to me...I'm just confused really...

Again, I'm looking for justification from the Quran or Hadith, not your opinion. Also, please understand the question properly, I'm NOT asking what language the Quran was revealed in, NOR am I asking which language is best at delivering its message, NOR am I asking which language Muhammed (SAW) used when reciting the Quran.

I believe that God is God..sometimes I don't understand how come Jesus is God. I mean...when you're grateful to God, you would say..Thank God!...or if something is amusing or shocking or whatever..you would say..Oh My God!!!

it would be weird to hear when someone says..for example...Oh My Jesus! What did you do to you hair?? or Thank Jesus, I thought I lost my car keys!

I don't get it...so which one is God now?

I believe in God, and I will never give up my faith, but someone asked this, and I believe it is a very legitimate question. He further makes the point why does God allow children to suffer from terminal cancer? You can say it is a test, or God works in mysterious ways, or it depends on faith. But surely there are strong faithful Christians who have an amputation. I myself do not know, can you give me your insight? Why doesn't God heal amputees? The Bible says "Whatsoever you ask in My Name"
"Ask and it shall be given you." Why?

According to Helmuth Nyborg (a Danish professor in developmental psychology at Aarhus University in Denmark
and one of the most cited Danish psychologists), people that believe in God (and religion in general) are less educated than those who are atheists.

How much do you agree with this?

I myself (a Christian), can't help but agree a little bit.

In other words, do you envision God as a human-like fom as artistic depictions present him? And where do you perceive he exists: is it outside of yourself; in your heart, mind soul; everywhere? I'm being sincere; I'm curious as to individual's perception of what God is. If you could, also include what part of the world you're from.

Please visit this site.http://www.geocities.com/islamicmiracles/prophet_in_various_scriptures.htm. That confirm my views that there is an underlying thread connecting all the religions. Prophets like Mohammed came to teach us the correct path and to steer us clear of misconceptions about God. In a book exibition at Chennai, I saw the extracts of what Pro Mohammed had said about Krishan. The Prophet has said that there was a prophet in India. He was black in colour etc. I did not have the time to make further enquiry in the book stall. Many from the religions are only interested in fomenting trouble between the two communities. Hindus have to learn from Islam as they did from Buddhism and the Muslims also need to understand the teaching and the original purport of Hindu Vedas. Let them all understand their religions in their proper perspective. In any case, let there be no rancour and venom for the other side.
I invite the knowlegeable from both the religions to respond.
